Just plug your electric guitar to the sound card input, start Guitar FX BOX and enjoy - your guitar will scream and sing! This high quality sound processing program is acting just like a good collection of guitar effects pedals. You can use several of them at the same time, even all of them if you need so.
Guitar FX BOX does REALLY real-time DSP. Signal is sampled from sound card input, processed and then sent to the output with VERY LOW LATENCY - virtually undetectable. This is achieved using DirectSound or WDM streaming for fast access to the hardware (sound card) and fast DSP algorithms optimized for realtime processing.
Besides that, Guitar FX BOX features intuitive user interface, supports presets and hot keys for quick presets changing, MIDI/Game controllers pedals for wah-wah effect, configurable tuner, file input/output and more...

: First, if you're in Windows, open the Windows mixer(the little yellow speaker on the taskbar) and check the mute box for for Mic or Line-in, depending on which you're using. For the delay thing, in FX Box, click the Setup button and lower the Max.I/O Delay thats a fair trade off between the actual delay between you hitting the strings and the sound actually coming out of the speakers, and the quality of the sound. Pops and clicks are not cool. Depends on your sound card. I have a Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer 5.1 and it runs great at 10 ms, which is virtually no delay.
I've got the same problem. I have a Live! value, just reinstalled w2k drivers, still has a full second latency. Messing with the max I/O settings has NO effect. Any ideas for me?

I can´t record with COOL EDIT(music editor)while i´m using this program.Both programas use the same Device input at the same time. What can i do with my SBLive?

My Name is Shbhit and I play the guitar...
I got bored playing with the same tones and being financially not so sound I could not buy a good sound processor pedal...so I was just looking for some software for guitar processing with real time basis ...
I found a trial version of FXBOX and I found it to be an excellant processor for my guitar...
can anybody get me a free version of FXbox....
I could not buy it as my pocket does not allow me .....

I just got FX Box 2.5
Awesome program. Any way I was looking for some presets. Anyone got any presets they would like to share with me or know where I can download presets? Also any tips on fx combos would be great. Also I have some presets I'd be willing to trade via e-mail. I plan on making more fx combos with this cool prog.

output to amp?
I hooked up my guitar to my sound card's line-in (an SB Live!) and connected a cable from the card's output to the input of my amp (an Ibanez ToneBlaster). Is this advisable to do? The software works, but sometimes I get an annoying clipping noise, even when the FX Box's level indicator doesn't show it going into the red. Any ideas?

Your prob is simple your sound card puts out about 200mV to 1.5V (line level) or 500mV to 4.5V (speaker level). way too much for guitar amp.
Nominal level is less than 50mV. You are heavily overdriving the input. sorry man you need a studio amp or something that has line level not guitar level inputs. read the specs for input rating.

When I downoload the program and then I try to open winzip, it gives me a message of error!

Yes me too!
The software will not allow
exe files to be installed correctly on to the system.
Error message say, "headers are damaged" or "size is in
error". I have carefully tested this by -- format C: /s,
then reinstalled the win98 SE from the original CD.
Then I reinstalled FX box to recreate the same problem.

: i have downloaded this guitar effects processor and I can tell you that now, my guitar sings and sounds well through my PC. All the effects are great, the echo is wonderful (with a good feedback and a bottleneck, you can sound as a dolphin or like the Pink Floyd) .. the chorus allow you to have the sound of bands like Nirvana (come as you are ) or GnR (knockin' , civil war ).. finally the tremolo is good to sound as the old band style 60's 70s, like Creedence Clearwater Revival... the weakness of this soft is the distortion and overdrive... but i Can tell you that, except to this little weaknees, this is one of the best guitar fx processor i ever heard on PC. download it and enjoy .. Peavy

Just a bunch of scratch
I tried fooling around with it but all i get when i turn up the wav volume is a bunch off scratchy noices. And when i turn the wav off and turn up the line in i cant get the effects to work.
Help me please.

I've had that prob. useually re-starting or just re-starting the program fixes it. its a fault with your sound card i think.
What a problem!!!
When I downloaded the FXBox I thought "That's great!", At the fist time I was able to use the program, but nexts days I received a mesagge of error when I tried to use it, the message box said:"Could not setup DS output mode..Try "All duplex" mode in setup dialog"...well I'll try It, but when I saw the setup dialog, the All duplex mode was enabled...today I still trying it but the bug don't dissapears...thanks for all.
