Software Description

HLS Channel is a plugin produced with the help of Eddie Kramer, it is a mixing console plugin modeled after the Helios mixing console.

Legendary producer and engineer Eddie Kramer teamed up with Waves Audio to model a Helios mixing console, just like the one he used at the equally legendary London’s Olympic Studios while recording with big name music acts. They were able to acquire a vintage Helios mixing console from the Rolling Stones mobile truck which were used during the early 70's. They then worked with Eddie Kramer to meticulously reproduce the classic Helios' properties.

The HLS Channel plug-in models the Helios Equalizer parameters. It also copies the console's preamp characteristics. As an added feature, the HLS Channel has a built in VU meter that recreates the ballistic behavior, sensitivity and interface of the original.

Features

  • Up to 24bit 96kHz resolution
  • Modeled Line & Mic preamp drive
  • Produces an analog noise & hum for added realism
  • EQ bypass
  • Stereo and Mono components
