Software Description

HighC Kid 1 allows young children to build up their motor skills, producing lively visual and audio feedback. It provides an early introduction to musical gesture and to more evolved applications in the line of the HighC software.

To enjoy it, your child needs to be able to move the mouse on a flat surface, or drag a finger on a trackpad. Progressively, they will learn to follow the movements of the cursor on the screen as they move their hand. An adult will probably need to guide the child's first steps with the application. Yet, as long as the keyboard is out of reach, the child can use this software without any risk of breaking the computer or corrupting data.

HighC Kid 1 builds upon the HighC application, which itself is inspired from Iannis Xenakis UPIC work from the 80's and 90's.
