Software Description
A Windows 95 program to create an Instrument Definition File (IDF). This is essentially Win95's version of the Patch and Drum Note remapping of Win3.1's MIDI Manager. An IDF allows you to remap the General MIDI Patch set and Drum Note assignments for a MIDI sound source that is not GM compliant. In this way, software that is designed to select patches and play drums upon a GM sound source will play the proper instrumentation and drum sounds upon a non-GM unit (ie, via the IDF you create for that unit). This is a zip archive, and you should use a utility such as WinZip to unzip it.

How to record with MIDI ?
Please help me ! I want to record music from my EG-101
to my computer with Cubase. I've read both manuals and it
doesn't work at all ? Can you help me, please.
I've already made some piece of music but now my motivation
is decreasing cause I can't arrange it on my computer.
Music is Life, without I'm not proud ...

: I have pro tools set up with a MPC 2000 XL, I do not have another USB port, do they have firewire midi interfaces? if so, which ones are better? what makes one better than the other?

I BUY EG101 2 WEEKS BEFORE AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM: HOW CAN I MAKE A SIMPLE MIDI MUSIC WITH CUBASE ON EG101? THE MIDI CHANELS ARE RECOGNISED BY THE EG101 OR NOT? I MAKE A FOR EXMPLE A 5 TRACK SONG BUT THE EG101 NO REPRODUSES ANYTHING.WHAT CAN I DO? WHAT DID YOU DO? PLEASE HELP ME. E-MAIL ME AT <APOGEO@FREEMAIL.IT>
