Ess1869 to Yamaha PSS680

I am trying to let these creatures talk to each
other. The Interface seems Ok. Am running DOS/
WIN2k Pro / WIN XP Pro. The sound card plays all
sorts of formats (WAV , MIDS, MODS, etc) but I
cannot make the Yamaha and my PC talk to each
other at all.

What am I doing wrong ??
