I spent countless hours trying to make a workable cdg with KB Studio. IT DOES NOT WORK. Beware! - KB Studio is sold "AS IS". It was purchased as a gift for me, by my 77 year old mother - who knows little about computers and could not try it first.
I have found many more problems with KB Studio than I have space to list here. I did not know about all the bugs and freezing until I spent extensive time (only by trial and error) to learn the program. The help file is no help at all.
KB Studio would not progress further than the first part of the syncing phase until I figured out that you have to hit the "next word" key one more time. Synced lyics don't match up when played at regular speed. It wouldn't work with various mp3 files. It cut off the end off of my wav file, although it checked out OK in a player. Several features, like "Split" words do not work at all. There is no "undo" - you just lose all! Making a cdg file with the mp3 froze the program.
You must change the size of the words in the "edit phase", but the icons are so small that you must try this over and over for each word. Your hand cramps. It often freezes and shuts down when editing or touching buttons! Saving doesn't work - it freezes, and you just loose hours of work! It continued freezing after un-installing, re-installing, and trying on another computer. All e-mails for help were returned as "undeliverable".
I have spent years working with a great variety of music editing programs. DO NOT BUY KB Studio! I think that it is shameful to sell a program until it is functioning and the author will stand behind it. Do not use Paypal or use a Discover card to pay for purchases - they will not protect you from people selling a product knowing that it does not work.
If this program is rewritten - de-bugged, complete, and a non-beta version, I will give it a thorough testing and write a new review with my findings.
