Re: Magix incompatible with technology upgrades

Uhh...dumb ass. Excuse me while I correct your ignorance and teach a little technological history...

#1 - Command and Conquer is a program that runs in DOS mode. When you run the game, it is being loaded through DOS. Considering Microsoft is a group of dumb asses and they decided to eliminate that possibility (mainly because all programs now run through Windows), Windows XP doesn't let you load programs through DOS (or at least to my knowledge there is no way to make it do that).

#2 - Magix was not making Music Maker 6, 7, or any other of their recent software when Westwood was making Command and Conquer. Things were different then than they are now. When Music Maker 5 was released, programs were loaded in Windows, not DOS. Most Windows programs that can be loaded in Windows 2000 or ME can be loaded in XP. Hell, I'd be willing to bet programs that can be loaded in NT or 98 could be loaded in XP. XP is based off of the fucking NT code, ME is based off of 98's code. I don't know what the hell Magix is doing, but if they can't make a program that can endure at least one Windows upgrade, then they need to learn from the other companies that are somehow looking into their crystal ball and determining what the programming for future Windows versions should be.

Now...who's "dumb or wot?"
