Thank you for Midi Dis/Assembler. It's extremely
useful and--best of all--it works perfectly the
first time.
I have a suggestion. I got an error message after
cut and pasted two text files together and then
tried to "assemble" my new text file into a MIDI.
The message referred to a time signature in Line 5731
(it's a big file). I fixed the problem by starting
the process all over again, using backup copies of my
original MIDI files. Apparently, I had cut some data
out by mistake.
However, if there were some way to search for "Line
5731" in the text file, I could have discovered the
error and fixed it in the new text file (which, of
course, is the beauty of being able to turn MIDI
into text in the first place). Can you devise a way
to search a text file by line number? This would
make your program even more versatile (not that I'm
complaining!)
