MP3 Merger for Windows 7?

I have used mp3merge.exe with success for some time, but when I run it under Windows 7 it gives me an error message and the program freezes. Nevertheless, the resulting mp3 file appears to work. Is there a newer version or workaround for Windows 7?

Is there someone who has

Is there someone who has this awseome software on their drive and can share it? I had it and lost it and now I'm screwed!

I used this to compile an audiobook and it worked perfect, its amazing

A Problem

Been trying to merge for a while now, About 172 mps files, each less than a 1 MB, total output file is 172 MB.
But when I play it, the duration of the big file remains 4 min, just like the small files. What to do?

I just read up upon this

I just read up upon this subject and your problem sounds like what this guy has found a workaround to (note that his method of merging the mp3s is different than yours, but you can download ffmpeg and use the command he uses):

MP3 Merger v0.3.2.1

From an old git merging 70`s rock stuff, this program did exactly what it said on the box, merged 9 tracks into 1, easy to use for a non-geek like me, don`t understand tech stuff. I`m impressed and recomend it

Re: A Problem

I have seen the product create a big mp3 that then will not play all the way through. My solution was to make sure the mp3's merged all had exactly the same bitrate, sampling rate and channelmode. then it worked.

Thanks very much for this excellent tool. I've tried a couple of others, which weren't free and this beats them hands down. It's very quick and I love the cue sheet creation setting which is a must have.
