Creation

The rhymes, phrases, ideas, and information contained in MasterWriter's reference dictionaries, along with the unique features provided, will be a constant source of inspiration. MasterWriter is a very powerful tool which is easy to use, easy to navigate, and fast. It was our goal to utilize the technologies of today in a manner that would not complicate or get in the way of the creative process.

Organization

Imagine having everything related to the song you are writing, just a mouse click away. MasterWriter's world-class database allows you to come back to that song the next day, the next month or a year later and you will find all the lyrics, alternate versions, melodic ideas and reference materials exactly as they were when you last worked on that song.

Education

In our daily conversation and in our songwriting, we tend to use a vocabulary that we are familiar and comfortable with. When you use MasterWriter your knowledge and vocabulary begin to expand and as they do, you will find new and colorful ways to paint word pictures. It's really quite simple, the musician practices his instrument to become a better player. Use MasterWriter, and you will become a better songwriter. The beauty of it all, is that it happens while you're writing songs. And with a laptop, it can happen on a bus, on an airplane, in a hotel room, or anywhere you find yourself.

Oh, and by the way ...

The purchase price of 300 bucks includes NO UPGRADES. They'll also sell you a monthly license and a yearly license. Apparently they think their little software program is the Encyclopedia Britannica or the Oxford English Dictionary.

The price is only $199 now - or $9.95/mth

They have lowered their prices since your post - you can buy it outright for $199, or you can get a 12 month license for $99 or a monthly license for $9.95

FANTASTICALLY overpriced

This is the closest I have found in Mac-based software for the Windows-based Rhymesaurus (which is fantastic). It will cost you $29.99 for a full edition of Rhymesaurus (there is also a FREE shareware edition, but I bought the full edition). master writer will cost you a cool 299.99 -- EXACTLY ten times as much. I personally think they have a lot of gall. I used the trial version, and it's nice enough (despite a rather pretentious graphic design I could do without), but I wouldn't dream of paying that. Pretty soon somebody is going to do a Mac program at a reasonable price that does exactly the same things, and these gonifs can go straight to hell.

master writer

what's the brand name of the hard disc recorder.
( Dimensions, weight, features?)
