Re: Avoid Polyhedric

Re: Avoid Polyhedric

Rich, I sympathize. I too was on a search for some wavetables to generate sound in an internet appliance that just had a DMA unit to a DAC. I have an algorithm that will use just a few cycles of the sound to generate a poor man's midi (memory is of a premium in such devices). I tried to buy the wavetables from polyhedric. The guy, Tommy Anderberg wouldn't sell them to me because, in his opinion, I was ignorant of sound generation (which is not true). He couldn't fathom why someone might want to produce a less than perfect musical instrument. He insulted me, and when I informed him that based on what he said, he had little knowledge of Fourier analysis , he insulted me more. I was willing to offer him thousands of dollars for the rights to use his wavetables, and he refused my business because of his own ignorance and arrogance!!!! I've seen that on the Web he has some cool software out there, but I don't know if he wrote it himself or not, but the guy doesn't have a clue how to do business. I would not recommend buying anything from this company. They will treat you like an inferior maggot....not someone you want to do business with.
