I have been a registered user of Myriad's melody Assistant, Harmony Assistant, and Virtual Singer for some time.
Melody Assistant can be used for creating and printing sheet music. It can also import and export MIDI, Karoake, MP3, and other formats. Harmony Assistant has additional features.
Some users get these programs as lower-cost alternatives to the "famous name" music publishing software. But a better reason is that these programs have very useful audio handling capabilities. Virtual Singer is a synth voice that can "sing" song lyrics in various languages. it is an add-in to the other products. It is a lot of fun.
The same software firm has recently added a "Gold Sound Database" option, for producing better-sounding audio tracks of the sheet music.
The programs are not the easiest to learn. Be sure to read instructions, or you will be frustrated. Support is good.
