Move over Ringo, out of the way Phil Collins, there's a new drummer in town, and its name is Music Box. Music Box features an easy-to-use interface, with near limitless drum sounds. Harnessing the power of Quicktime, Music Box brings a new standard to MIDI based Macintosh drum machines.
Let's start with the drum kits. No longer are you limited to a standard room kit, Music Box has seven! They include the standard kit, room kit, power kit, electronic kit, analog kit, brush kit, and orchestra kit. After you figure out your style, select your drums. There are over thirty drum sounds for each kit, they range from snares, to toms, to cymbals, to cuicas.
After you have your drums all together, it is time to create! Music Box has a variety of tempos, ranging from 30 beats-per-minute, all the way up to 3600! Just click to add measures, and if you added too many, you can easily delete them. You can also loop tracks! And when you are all done, save your song and send it to a friend.
The only down side to Music Box is that it is still in development. This means that there are many more features to come, but we've decided to release some early versions so we can get some feedback on what you would like in the final program. Go ahead, download it today!
