If you are still looking for a score writer which uses keyboard input as opposed to MIDI, then I would suggest trying NoteWorthy Version 2.01 by Braeburn Software - There is a free download on the net somewhere!

: Has anyone reading this note ever used this editor? If so, is it worth downloading? What are its features? I write music for piano and am looking for a way to print up scores. I don't have a MIDI instrument, and want to be able to enter notes via my mouse and keyboard. Does this software accomplish that without crashing or wasting my time? THANKS!
