i've never used Overture, but had similar problems. i'm assuming that you're recording a MIDI file, which does not record an audio signal, but simply messages, telling a keyboard or computer what notes to play, when, and for how long. it may be playing piano back because you haven't specified it to play another instrument, remember a midi file can be used to play any of hundreds of instruments. so make sure it's playing a drum kit. hope that helps
