open the sound control panel and make your CD player (if thats what you're using) the chosen sound input, otherwise you'll be using the crappy mic...

I am using an iMac /OS 9. it didn't work for me either

I could not see that the music patterns were changed by the music. I am using a G4 /OS 9.
