I have the exact same problem. It has to be windoes 200 specific because I can boot up in windows ME on the same machine and everything works fine. I am using a toshiba and both operating systems use the same driver. Thats why I think its the windows 2000 OS that is the problem and not just a simple driver or hardware problem

: can not record using windows sound recorder or any other aplications such as cool pro edit..yahoo messenger msn messenger voice chat..error message...audio being used by another aplication....dont know what and how to fix ...can anyone help
