Software Description

Power Tab Editor is a tablature authoring tool for Windows.

Use it to make guitar and bass tab (tablature).

It lets you create tabs with most of the symbols usually found in tablature including chord names, chord diagrams, rhythm slashes, bends, slides, hammer-ons/pull-offs, harmonics and even palm muting.

It's a great application for people who want to learn how to play guitar, and indeed seasoned pros who need to transcribe their own music and/or guitar lessons.

If you are looking to convert Power Tab to Guitar Pro there is no longer any need because Guitar Pro now imports Power Tab.

Although PowerTab is not officially designed to run on Windows Vista, there are a lot of people who use it with no problem, however some people have reported that it won't run on Vista for them.

Its the best freeware tab editor Ive ever seen ,Id rather use it then guitar pro($50),Because It shows the musical score and multiple staffs at once.

Why does the staff show "V,C,K " instead of music notation

I recently transcribed an acoustic jazzy version of "God Rest Ye merry Gentleman". When I play back midi it sounds perfect! the TAB looks good. However the staff doesnt look like music notation. The rythm is there but where the notes and rests should be , it looks like vectors. How can I get the staff to look like music?

Missing Doc from Floppy

Music Staff to Tab

Most music sheets doesn't provide tab fingerings. I'm looking for a simple program that allows inputting music via the music staff instead of entering the tab numbers. I see it's on the bottom of the Power Tab "to do" list. Does this exist in another program?
