There's an incredible demand for this software right now. Unless your using a DSL line or better,
you're looking at a 45 minute plus download.

only way is to have a wav-file from the mp3-file in one track of protools. then you can normalize it with the "normalize" plugin of the audio-suite.

DAE 1113 error

When i open pro tools, i get a mesage that pops up saying DAE 1113 error and then the program closes by itself. How do i fix this problem?

how looks the window? normaly there is nothing in the session. so you have to create first your tracks. menue: File -> new track.

Download VMware and get a windows 9x (98/ME) CD/ISO and install that as a virtual machine, install your sound card drivers and walah =D

it seems weird why PT doesnt support Windows NT+ as it's the god of windows **** PT and **** WINDOWS buy a G5

this program wont even run on the emulators.
its hadly suprising considering its an old version.
im using 5.1.3 profesionaly and that wont run well on an xp machine

Ok, first off, I didn't think you can run PT on XP, 2000, NT or any other OS with an NT Kernal. Better read the instructions again my friend...

Doesn't anyone read the followups b4 they post.

Windows XP can run programs in 98/ME compatible mode. But with PT free the same error occurs!!!!!

protools 5.1 doesn't run on XP!

Not Even In Compatability Mode?!?! (Guess not because i have PTFree running on XP in Compatibility for 98/ME and it has exact error)

Total System RAM: 128 MB minimum 192 MB recommended (Additional RAM required for simultaneous use with MIDI sequencers.)
Intel chipset
Phoenix or Award BIOS (recommended)
CD-ROM drive for software install
AGP or PCI graphic card
Monitor, color required, minimum resolution of 1024 x 768
Storage: A large, fast, hard drive for audio.
For maximum performance, a dedicated ATA/IDE or SCSI disk drive(s), such as those qualified with Pro Tools LE, should be used.

I would advise that after all the trouble I have had not to buy anything from this company
