Software Description

SequBeat offers a full virtual drum kit for all of your practicing and songwriting needs. It works as a sequencer for constructing percussion quality sounds. SequBeat comes with the "Power" drum library that features 16 great samples. The Power kit items include a kick, high hat, snare, cymbal, shaker, rimshot and much more. You'll also be able to import up to 32 samples of your own. Enjoy full pitch and semi-tone pitch shifting for each individual sample. You can also control volume as well as perform left and right panning.

SequBeat provides a multifunctional environment for pattern construction. You can choose between seven patterns from the library, and set the length/beat as well as update it with a click of a button. Create full pattern playlists for song writing and compilation tasks. You'll be able to save songs and patterns (at least in the registered version) as a WAVE file. At 44.1 kHz, you'll have the best sounding samples around.

This version also allows you to ACIDized you samples, create up to 12 second seemless loops, perfect for DJ work or pro recording. It also has the ability to create drum TAB scores for you to print out. SequBeat is the best product available to do this and with SequBeat it's so easy to do!

Boss DR-5 Hits/Samples please

Hi, is anyone willing to record all the percussion/drum sounds from a DR-5 for me???

I'd need the in 44.1 Stereo WAV format. I used to have this unit many moons ago and thought it's the best sounds i have heard pretty much since then.

Any help on this matter (even where i could buy a sample CD with ALL the sounds on it would be appreciated)

Also try counter-strikes gun sounds as sequbeats additional library. Not good all time but to finish a song icould not find a more attractive way...

This drum machine has a lot of potential but it has a lot of problems too. First, it has a bug in the exporting process. When you have imported samples in your mix, the exporting process gets errors and only displays a "0.00" alert message. This means nothing to me, and it isn't in the help file. The result is that the WAV file sounds as though some of the instruments are messed up. Second, the help file is pretty unhelpful for all the bugs this thing has. Third, I have noticed that in saving sometimes, the hi-hat seems to get it's own rhythm all of a sudden and is completely off the beat. I haven't noticed if this happens on other instruments but I bet it does. Fourth, there are many user-unfriendly features. For instance, the samples you have for one beat may appear in one of your other beats if you saved them at different times and try playing them sequentially(users know what I'm talking about). I don't think these are performance related because I have 600MHz and 128 MB RAM. I have to say though that the sound is great and when all the bugs get worked out this thing will be king! Conclusion- download it to have fun, but if you want to record something for real, pass this one up, at least until the next release.

I have the same system and (600MHz , 128Mb) and it does the same to me as well. It has real problems with samples. Shame really...

It allows you to build your own drum kit (with wave files that you can download from Internet) and to program the beat sequence (inserting different patterns).

Did you ever find a list of the note numbers?

I have a DR-5 and FL Suidio on my PC but have had no luck getting any MIDI from the DR-5 to the PC.

I have been to the DR-5 user forum, FL user forum, FL Studio tech support and no luck other than doing trial and error for note numbers which is very time consuming.

I notice when I export to wave file, that the volume set for each of the sounds does not stay, instead it seems to revert to the default of everything at top volume. I think the cymbals and hi-hats are too loud in the mix, so this does not work for me. Also, playback seems erratic at times. My system is pretty fast (AMD k6-2 450 MHz, 128 MB RAM). Any ideas?

I just noticed that the BPM speed isn't the same like the metronome in Cubase or my metronome ...

I can't fix it if I go 1 or 2 steps down case SequBeat is then a bit faster or slower but not EXACT !

Apex Twin is the shit! This program seems to suck.
Use Moron or Hammerhead with a multitrack sequencer program like N-track.
