Recording Problem

I was just looking for information regarding recording software that would be of use when recording Techno-type music onto a cd. I have had problems with the cd having either a 2 second pause between songs or having to record the whole cd on #1 and fast forward to any particular song that I am trying to find. I would greatly appreciate any information that you might have in regards to what it is I might need and if you might carry this item.
