Re: too bad...

Re: too bad...

You must have something running in your computer's background that could be doing this freeze (like anti-virus). If you want to do music on your computer, set it up for ONLY that purpose. I use DDClip 32-track shareware and found my own way around the limitations without Reverse Code Engineering or stealing the code. I love that program but, with a family that I can barely support, I can't afford ANY program.

: hello,

: i'm a french musician and composer...i was rather good with ms-dos, and i thought i could succeed with Linux....but i realize that ,though linux is a great OS, it is reserved to some few choosen people, a kind of aristocracy...and also i think that you all do intend to make things this way....saying that linux is "free" is not the reality...never mind...i mean: i can learn all instructions, but what i can't learn is what does Linux want me to do?
: i am really frustrated...i saw your nice Slab on hitsquad, and i was happy thinking that perhaps i could finally record my music without having my screen freezing like windows does....so i bought a mandrake 7.1 distribution and i installed it in 10 minutes...really easy...then i downloaded your Slab from hitsquad...and then?..i do not succeed to install and make it run..where do have i to copy it, what shall i have to type, and from where...what are the libraries it needs? and if i ever knew which libraries..where does linux want me to copy them?...so i know all is nice but only a few people can use it...so is it really different from microsoft's supremacy?people like me, have a single choice: either have windows freezing or dream about that linux we can't use...i am not from the elite? OK....with microsoft i am a prisonner and with linux i am a stupid guy!!...i am happy

: thanks a lot
