Software Description

TLC is a Rich-Text editor for Free Form, text based guitar tablature. It does things with plain text tab that no other program can.

Check out some features... locate chords within free-form text and instantly transpose the key of the whole song, locate all chords, then insert their guitar finger positions from a database of over 1500, generate over 60 scale types in any key, using any tuning, includes a built in digital recorder, a metronome, a lyric aware spell checker and has the ability to maintain a seperate "lyric only" sheet. (Useful for groups that need to hand out or display lyrics on overhead projectors.) TLC can generate tab frames in almost any size or shape and has a "capo calculator" that instantly displays what key a given capo position will transpose to. All data is stored in an accessable MS Access database. TLC's powerful search engine locates songs by Title, Author, Category or even by scanning the entire database for any word or phrase. TLC also has a powerful import/export feature that will export your songs into shareable, compressed ZIP files and automatically create matching HTML for sharing on a web site. There's more...

I've had the same problem, but an old Hippie Acquaintance has helped me with this. The song is by BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, and here are the lyrics:-
For What It's Worth
Buffalo Springfield

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Best, Andrew.

MUSIC

Music is away of life for me and millions of others and I love to play as well as others so I feel that all tablature should be free to whoever wants to pick up an instrument. I don't mind paying 20 dollars to purchase a cd, but when a person is looking to learn an instrument, they should be rewarded and by not charging for tablature, I feel that is a reward. Thank you for your time, Chris Weber

Re: MUSIC

I agree, I have just started a site with free tablature and sheet music

Re: MUSIC

Since the TLC website does not offer tablature and certainly does not charge for it, this comment makes very little sense. Nice sentiment though, and we're in total agreement.
