Software Description
The Music Box provides computer users with the ability to improve their listening skills without the help of another person.
Traditionally, ear training has required at least two people, one to play the dictation and the other (or others) to take the dictation (write it down). With The Music Box, you can practice intervals, triads, sevenths, scales, modes, rhythms and melodies by using the computer. The Music Box allows you to configure the dictation sequences from the easiest melody to the most complex. You can practice chords all in root position beginning on the same note, or in every inversion, with random root notes.
Beginners or advanced music students, children or adults will all find a setting that is correct for them. You can print out a sheet of music paper, or take dictation right on the screen with the Point and Click Dictation feature. The program does equally well providing melodies for sight singing, an important part of ear training.

thsi program is cool but it wont play MIDI for the intervals and stuff!!!! ive got a good sound card too!

Could not down load the software
music box
Hi,
I am looking for a nice music box with Dr. Zhavgo in 36 or 52 note.
Box may be larg enoughto accomodate a few trinkets as well as music movemenrt.
Must be in Anchorage by 5-10-98.

Difference between version 2.5 and 2.6
A note from the author. Version 2.6 added one
significant feature - the ability to create dictation
melodies in the bass clef. This ability allows the
user to practice dictation or sight singing from low
E to Middle C as well as in the treble clef from Middle
C to high A.
