Re: bram really (didn't) screw us this time

I have been using Tuareg for over a year (the full version), and I have never regretted spending the measily $35 for the program. In fact, I think Bram should charge more for his work, simply because it's one of the most useful programs sitting on my hard drive.

If you were ranting about the latest Microsoft release, I would probably agree with you wholeheartedly (although I shouldn't waste my time complaining when I could be making music). It is considered socially-acceptable to gripe about large corporations who should know better than to release faulty software. But we're talking about ONE PERSON, a rather young person at that, who is putting his whole being into making these innovative and unique applications. And as I said before, this particular application is one of the most useful on my PC.

Say you find another bug in the future. Instead of complaining to the world about it to satisfy your need to complain, why don't you let Bram know so he can fix it? He isn't Microsoft or Sun and probably can't afford a whole room full of software testers, and you would be adding to the development, not subtracting from it.

Although Bram designed the free version of Tu2 to be able to save your work (and 2.0 didn't for some reason), I am shocked and amazed that he actually has spent time fixing this bug. So many 'freeware' apps and demos will not let you save your work anyway.

So pay the $35 and use it. It might open your eyes once you discover how useful it really is, and you might find something better to do than post premature complaints on the net.

Lastly, I invite you to DL my latest song done in Tuareg. I'm no Alex Patterson, but the least I can do is back up my appreciation for Bram with a bit of my own music to prove the worth of Tu.

Cheers,
Bruce
