For those musicians who are already familiar with the Vienna SoundFont Studio, you have even more reason now to stay put in your studios. This latest version of Vienna SoundFont Studio (Version 2.3) makes creating SoundFonts easier than ever.

Audio Cards That Work

Vienna works with Windows ME. Also it is for SB Live, and it will work with SB PCI512 because it uses the SB Live soundchip. As for other cards all I can say is you will have to try them. Like SB PCI128 which I don't thing uses the same chip.

I really try to find a driver for my laptop Acer that functions with the ESS Tecnology. The Microsoft doesn;t "produces" a driver for it.

Same problem, possible solution: try Viena (note the subtly different spelling!) from Kenneth Rundt at http://www.synthfont.com. It's a freeware (donate-ware) soundfont editor currently in beta. I'm only starting to learn it, but it seems to work.

i have the sound blaster audigy platinum sound card which is apparently one of the best you can get. i'm on windows xp. the vienna 2.3 software came with the soundblaser installation disc. i've installed it but i keep getting the same message again and again. i'm obviously not the only one with the same problem. if its one of the best (supposedly) why won't the software work? is it due to the card it self or is it windows xp. my email is mgh1982@msn.com if anyone can help i would be extremely grateful.
