Software Description

Wave Corrector uses advanced digital processing to remove noise from old analogue recordings and to create digital audio files. Files can be transferred to CD or to a digital library.

Wave Corrector employs sophisticated noise reduction algorithms to remove many kinds of surface noise including repeating clicks, ticks and plops. The click eliminator provides accurate audio restoration by reconstructing the original audio wave from measurements of the phase and frequency content. In the Professional Edition, individual click corrections can be manually adjusted to optimise the corrected wave.

i found a sound leveler that would let you choose how loud you wanted all your songs to be...look for somethin glike that....i cant remember the name

I used a'Volume leveler' feature onMMJB Plus,which apparently delved down to my lowest recorded sound bytes and lowered everything.So,unless the speaker is pressed to my ear,I can't hear my music.MMJB Plus Techs recommended an uninstall of MMJB,reinstall,and reinstall of Sound Blaster Driver.No change.I got slightly louder using Window Media,and a bit louder on Real Player,and the best of all,Thomson's .But I still have to be in front of the spakers.My Audio tabs are maxed,and I can hear little or nothing 4 feet away.Would this product help me to restore these files.They are Mps converted fron old Vinyl records,many of which i donated to a school of music.Any help or guidance you can provide will be deeply appreciated. Thank you

I want to tape from my computer music i load on with a cd, also i want to record some radio stations, on my computer. I have record but it does my voice only through a mike.Can you please help me. so i can down load on to a simple cassette deck sound ,and music...Thank you....Tyres42@hotmail.com

Missing a timer

Hi!
I`m very satisfied with the program,but is it possible to have a timer going when I`m playing a track.Sometimes I can hear a click, but I can`t see it.
If the timer had been there, I could have seen exactly where in the song the click was.
Perhaps it comes in an upgrade?

Yes, this will be implemented in the next version, due within a few days.

However, it is easier to use the 'cue' feature: During playback, press the TAB key when you hear a click. This will insert a 'cue marker' in the correction list. After playback, you can then click on these cue markers to centre the display on these points of interest.

Yes. There is no problem running under XP.

Registration key option missing from the help menu

I just ordered the key($45) to upgrade to the fully functionable version, but the place to enter the key number is MISSING. When I receive my key number there will be no place to enter it! Also, the product says it's registered to a Fanlight Fanny! Is this normal or am I being ripped off??

I tried a few audio editors to help me transfer Vinyl LPs to CDs but Wave Corrector is the best so far. The hiss filter works well also.

wave corrector 2.21

The PVI file is an anti-piracy device. The file is generated when you install Wave Corrector or update to a later version. If the the program detects an unauthorised registration key then the file is not generated and correction data becomes scrambled.

A number of MAc users have asked this question. Unfortunately, I do not have the rescources to port a version to the MAc. Sorry.

Not sure I understand the question. The program reads .wav files (16-bit, 44.1kHz sampling) and generates corrected .wav files as output.

But your wave corrector does not support mono format, can it?
Can it support 90 minute wav file?

Unfortunately, because Wave Corrector was designed for compatibility with the CD audio standard, mono wave files are not supported, no.

Howwever, there is no maximum limit to the length of wave files it will process; so 90 minutes is OK. You just need to transfer them in stereo.

Get WAVclean 1.5.5 from Audio Restoration page @ SMM, it's the best cleaning utility I've ever tried...

groove mechanic works well for de-hiss...tad slow though..
