I'm an EE student at UNH. I am doing my senior project
on designing a guitar tuner. Can someone give any references or
information on books on this subject? Would it be more resonable to
do it in software or in hardware? Thanks alot.

I use two software guitar tuners, the work great!. i think it´s the best format.
there are many pages on the inet showing you a lot of alternative tunings.
