I had its drivers installed on a PC that subsequently died. Sadly, I didn't retain the drivers CD (I always assume hardware drivers can be obtained from the vendor, bad assumption!).
I get a new PC. I go to download the drivers and, lo and behold, Olympus wants to extract more money from me for software that I already paid for! I would rather trash the voice recorder than pay Olympus again.
Caveat Emptor!
Do not buy Olympus products!

Ps. Even if I had the stomach for paying for the Olympus drivers again, it comes up "Out of Stock" on their website. When I asked their customer service department what I should do, they suggest waiting a week or so and try again!
:
: I just went to the olympus (america) web site, went to software downloads, selected voice recorders, picked my recorder (DS-2000 - but I think they're all the same software anyway) and then selected the DSS Player for Mac software.
: This, as I said.. converts to AIFF. Then converting that to WAV is (relatively) trivial.
: PS - I'd like to say that DSS as an idea by Olympus SUCKS. I bought a DS-2000 for a fair chunk of change and lost the dang CD and that made it a huge pain to deal with that stupid audio format.
: Cheers
: Andrew - notes at shaw dot ca if you really want.. just no spam, and it better not even look like spam or it'll probably get trashed automatically. ;)
:
: : Kindly let me the know the link to download the olympus dss player which you say can convert dss to wave format
