i dont think you can create sound fonts with this...
its just a vst plug in playback engine.

RE: 'bs-1 1.1.2' & 'Buzz'

Hello, evry1

I have 2 quick questions. Even though the download page for 'bs-1 1.1.2' ( http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/bs1_win/ ), at the top left, indicates "bs-1 is a Soundfont 2 compatible software playback sampler for Steinberg VST 2 format. You can use your soundfont files in Steinberg Cubase, Emagic Logic Audio" , I was wondering if I would be able 2 create SoundFonts with this program that I could also incorporate with the 'Buzz' program ( from buzzmachines.com ) and/or any other program(s) that can use VST plug-ins BESIDES just what the bottom of this same web page indicates: "System Requirements: VST 2 host program such as Cubase, Logic Audio" ? I'm asking this, since I don't have neither Cubase nor Logic Audio. In addition, if I were able to create SoundFonts with 'bs-1 1.1.2', would I also be able 2 audition/edit/etc. these SoundFonts with other programs (ie., Vienna 2.3)? FYI: I have a SoundBlaster Live! soundcard, and I've already been successfully using SoundFonts in Buzz , Vienna 2.3 , and Cakewalk Home Studio ver. 9 . In advance, thanks for your assistance & take care. Feel free to email me, if you'd like :

It works well, the availability of soundfonts is well known and the use of them with VSTi is a tremendous asset to making music with MIDI. It works with my WIN98 and Cubasis VST 3.0 setup.

Freeware?!?!?

Excuse me, but this plugin is not freeware! $30 is how much it is
to register in order to get access to its full features. You people at
Hitsquad should sort it out and to stop misleading people.

Re: Freeware?!?!?

you are right my man - 2 voice polyphony for free or 32 (I think) for $30? It's a good deal but this is shareware with a demo, not freeware. It does work, I've tried it, and am considering using it with my laptop (when is someone gonna release a SF2 compatible USB/PCMCIA soundcard?) but yes SMC, get the facts right, or BS1, you should know the difference between free and share ware
