Converts Sound Blaster CMF files into format 0 standard MIDI files
CMF2MID doesn't work for me
CMF2MID doesn't work on my computer. It just goes off after two seconds. Unless I'm doing something wrong?
Also, all the files I want to convert are all only about 1k, but I know they contain rhythmic patterns. The winamp player opens them but nothing plays. They were made to be used with drumcore but my CD1 is damaged and I just want the drum patterns from CD2 to use as MIDI in another program.
Any ideas/thoughts?

Melody Assistant by Myriad. You can use a trial version which exports only a few seconds of the midi file, or you can buy it for $20 to export the whole song. Melody Assistant is also a great MIDI editor.
Creative Music CMF to Standard MIDI
CMF2MID is great and easy to use, but if you want
to convert 100 CMFs...
Soundcard differences described by Adam Mirowski
(CMF2MID author) are not so important for WaveTable,
and general conversion scheme can be created. This
assumes that all you need to run batch converting is
CMF2MID + simple software that can read data from
conversion table to create CMM files automatically
(one need few minutes to write it) + conversion table
itself. However, the last should have thousands of
items (how many instruments do they use in CMF?).
So, if you can send me your CMM files - send them!
Please note: I don't need tons of CMFs - all I ask is
text CMMs (if you don't know what it is - don't send
anything).
