Software Description
mp3DirectCut is a fast and extensive audio editor and recorder for MP3. You can directly cut, copy, paste or change the volume with no need to decompress your files for audio editing. This saves encoding time and preserves the original quality, because nothing will be re-encoded. The built in recorder creates MP3 "on the fly" from an audio input. Using Cue sheets, pause detection or Auto cue you can easily divide long files

I remember that it hasn't
I remember that it hasn't always been this way, but this time, on Linux Mint 17 Mate and Wine 1.6.2 it worked flawlessly.

Yes it says it works with Wine in Linux, but it is not stable. It cuts off on me when I click the stop play button.
Not available for Linux
There´s a mistake, this excellent software is not available for GNU/Linux yet :( I was looking for a similar program for a lot of time, that is, a soft to manipulate mp3 easy, fast and simply and mainly, not decompress the audio to work on it and then compress it again! if anybody knows about an app with this features for GNU/Linux, please, tell me! I don´t want to use Wine :(

According to the system requirements listed at the bottom of the page, it says its avaliable for Windows or Linux with Wine
