You can now be notified via RSS (Really Simple Syndication) when software you are interested in has been updated on Shareware Music Machine. It's as simple as selecting the RSS Notify Me icon from any software page and subscribing to it (see instructions below) using your favorite RSS feed reading program. Then when that software is updated, we will notify you!
What's a RSS newsfeed?
Instead of clicking through a number of websites to find out about the latest updates, you can use a news aggregator (news reader) to access this site (and many others).
What if don't have a feed reading program?
Hitsquad recommends RssReader for Windows users, available for free at http://www.rssreader.com. Other choices are Amphetadesk (Windows, Macintosh and Linux), FeedReader, Newzcrawler or NewsGator.
I would prefer to be notified of all the new and updated software added each week. Is this possible?
Sure is. Just subscribe to the Shareware Music Machine New Software Releases feed using http//www.hitsquad.com/smm/rssfeed/newsoftware.xml
Instructions:
(using Internet Explorer and RssReader)
Step 1
On Shareware Music Machine, visit the page of the software you are intrested in.
Step 2
Right click the RSS Notify Me button and click Copy Shortcut. You can now paste this URL into your feed reading software.
Step 3
Open RssReader, select "Add" and then paste in the feed ( Ctrl + V ) if it's not already in the input box. After, simply hit next.
