I'm recording samples from CDs, I like to know which MP3 recorder allows you to record a 10-20 second sample instead of the WHOLE track. I looked at many, none has that feature.

Cubase 4.1 on mac G3 233 using Audiowerk 2 soundcard

I have a problem with delay(ca. 50-100ms) on audiotracks on this system.I have all the new drivers. I did not have the problem running Cubase 3.5.2 on the Mac soundcard. Can anyone help??

Ok, I'm not slamming piracy, cause I tried the cracked version myself because I thought Logic was WAY to expensive and I just couldn't afford it. But I found a loophole that makes it REAL cheap if anyone is interested.....
Emagic has a little publisied deal...
If you have an OEM version of logic you can get the full blown version for a fraction of the cost. It all depends on where you buy it from but it's less than 75% of the retail price. They will also offer the same deal to you to competitive upgrade.
For me I didn't have an OEM version or a competing product so what to do ???? Well...
A company called ST Audio/HoonTech makes a really nice inexpensive audio input interface called the Cport. It consists of a rackmount 10inX10out balanced AES/EBU-Sp/dif box, and the DSP24 PCI audio board. The drivers are ASIO2/WDM/GSIF compatible and best of all it comes with an OEM version of Logic called Soundtrack24. You can get it for around 400 bucks.
You get that, upgrade the Logic to full for another 350 and for 750.00 you got a real set-up. Interface and all.
Best of all you get a manual ! and a dongle ! and a license.
Please don't flame me, as I neither condem or condone piracy. I tried the cracked version before I bought. Now I own and am much better off having the support, manual, and key.
I bought my cport from Tracer Technology and my Logic from Sweetwater.
Sweetwater will support you free for life on the Logic.

Adaptec Easy CD Creator Deluxe is good. But in terms of speed, it is more dependent on drive quality than software.

Great white shark - film music

Does anyone know where to get it? MP3, MIDI all would be fine, I've just have to listen to it, to play one theme in a theatre production....

My music teacher at the college says she needs sheet music to play off.The notes and the lyrics must be on the sheet music but I can't find any anywhere! She also said I could download tons of sheet music for free. Can I? If so where and how?

Music suppression

Hi Dan, you'll need a wave editor with filter capacities. There are some available, check SoundForge, CoolEdit, WaveLab.....

You can then create noise profiles of unwanted noise (this is normally used for hiss reduction) and filter this out of the wave file.
But results are not always that good.... Just try
