Justin,

Remeber .ram files are just the link to the .ra or .rm file. So you actually need the .ra file
on your computer for it to be possible to convert it to WAV or MP3.

If you don't know the location of the .ra or .rm file, it is possible to open the .ram file in a
simple text editor, like Notepad, and see the actual file location within the text.

Once you have a .ra file on your computer, you can use <a href="/smm/programs/Streambox_Ripper/">Streambox Ripper</a> to convert it to WAV or WMA.

With ra2wav, (www.downloadsafari.com) You can transform .ra to WAV files and then to what ever you want, but it does not work for .ram files

How can I convert PC .kar to CD+G karaoke

I have a CD-R and tons of PC karaoke files (.kar) - and I would like to be able to convert&burn these files onto a cd to be played by my Karaoke player (CD+G)

Any help is MUCH appreciated.

why bother converting them back to cdg.i converted all my cdg to mcg & now play 3000 karaoke songs from a laptop without even using a disc.the jvc machine has now retired & expecting a long vacation. well if i dont play another disc again then that suits me.

You may need to download the MPecker Drop Decoder 1.6.4 That converts MP3's to AIFF's. That's what I had to do. It gives you an icon that looks like a little coffee grinder. Drag your MP3's onto that and in a few seconds, it will convert to AIFF

There are two great industrial soundsets on the net:

zmskit-1.zip, and
acoustic1&2.sf2 (available on the soundfont part of this site).

I have no idea where I got zmskit-1.zip from, but it rocks.

COnvert sf2 files to wav with Awave (demo works too).

Sequence them in Audio mulch like this: BPM 120

Steps: 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...
Kick : X X X X X X X X
Snare: X X X X
Clhiht XXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Ophiht X X

Drop all notes in the bass line generators to E1 or E2.
Randomly assign some notes to G,A,A#, (or C). Stay near the A/G/A#

You have industrial music.

Hey there... for a rough industrial sound
you need heavy drums and a lot of distortion etc.
If you want to try it out there are a number of
freeware and not too expensive shareware things
available that gave me good results in the past.
Take hammerhead or rubberduck... or the new version of hammerhead which is called "tuareg"
or something. You can find all of them on this
site for free... g'luck!
