SOFTWARE FOR GLUEING MIDIS

HI......

BEING AN AMATEUR AUDIO EDITOR, I MUST RECUR TO YOU, UNDERSTANDING THAT MY QUESTION IS MOST LIKELY VERY SILLY.

YOU SEE, I NEED TO CREATE A MUSICAL BACKGROUND FOR A PRESENTATION CONSISTING OF A LONG, EXTENSIVE MEDLEY OF MIDI TRACKS ; I DON'T NEED TO MIX OR OVERLAP INSTRUMENTS, I JUST NEED TO GLUE TOGETHER A BUNCH OF MIDI SONGS ONE AFTER THE OTHER, CREATING JUST ONE, REALLY LONG, MIDI FILE.

CAN YOU ADVICE ON ANY SIMPLE SOFTWARE THAT JUST DOES THIS ? I'VE FOUND ALTERNATIVES FOR GLUEING WAVES & MP3'S, BUT HAVEN'T FOUND SIMPLE, QUICK SOLVING SOLUTIONS FOR MIDIS, EXCEPT FOR TRADITIONAL EDITORS ( MASSIVA, ANVIL STUDIO, ETC).

GUS COLLOT

MultiTrack.

Hi,

You could just load them into a Multitrack application like Logic/Cubase/Cakewalk. Import the files into any Midi sequencer and then copy and paste the midi information where you want it.

You could import all the midi files into their own windows and then copy and paste the parts into a new window (song) where you want them...

If your stuck, give them to me and i'll do them for you.

Good Luck

SteveR...

Track Marks in a Large MP3

I have made a rather large MP3 file and would like to burn it to CD for playing in my home stereo but before I do that I would like to be able to put track marks in the MP3 so that I can skip parts (much like a continusouly mixed dance CD). Does anyone know of any software that would allow me to do this? I could also work with WAV format.

Please help.

Thanks,

Re: Track Marks in a Large MP3

MP3 Surgeon claims the following feature: Split Tool - Split your MP3 into unlimited segments and to any length you want
This would allow you to split your large MP3 into several smaller files to burn as seperate tracks on the CD.

If you want to burn the CD like a continuous mix CD, read this article about DAO. CDRWin will
then allow you to burn the MP3s directly to Audio CD (they will be decoded "on the fly" automatically).

Best of luck.

Re: Track Marks in a Large MP3

Lucky for you!

I was looking for the same program too, but now I found it!

Here is the link http://www.heathcosoft.com/products/mp3trackmaker/index.html

Re: Track Marks in a Large MP3

I checked out MP3 Surgeon and yes, it allows for cutting the MP3 into smaller sections but the sections all have to be of even length (ex 3000 milliseconds or 1.44mb). This is not the type of functionality that I was looking for.

But thanks for your help.

You must have a cdrom that can read and one that can write. I have two plexWriters they are px-w 1210a and they both read and write I have no problem making backups.and if you do have one that can read and write then you need to be able to download to you're hard drive. try going to mtu.com for that program.any futher help email me.

Re: copying cd-g from karaoke to use for back up

Try this site. I bought the Plextor and the $50 software and I copy my at 4x read and 8x write. I've done about 500 cd's in the past 3 weeks and that's with working full time and doing karaoke on the side. Some discs take longer depending on the condition of the cd and the brand for some reason.

I bought my burner from them to make sure it worked and also got the blank cd's they suggested as I had about 5 of 50 bad ones in the Fuji brand.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Re: copying cd-g from karaoke to use for back up

you need to use disk juggler or cdrwin . you must read from you writer and make an image on you hard drive (make sure that the cd+g opion is selected . Then write the image to disk at 1X ONLY any faster and you will lose the graphics. If you wish to piurchase karaoke cd+g`s £5 sterling per disk contact psxart@hotmail.com

Re: copying cd-g from karaoke to use for back up

I'm a karaoke dj and looking for the right burner or software to do the trick. I have heard that the Yamaha 6416 will copy CDG's. This is an older model unit and hard to find new. I was told another option is to purchase different software, but what kind, I dont know. I hope it is really that simple. Still searching.

Make sure your reader/recorder supports CD-G. There is certain ones that actually do this. I bought a Yamaha, which supports this. I have copied several cd-g's for my sisters business. I am looking for another one to buy.

Re: copying cd-g from karaoke to use for back up

Sorry Guys for coming in on this thread so late, but I recently bought a Karaoke Machine and want to back up all my CD+G's. I have looked at this thread and taken the advice re: CDR-Win and looking at their website I have bought a suitable CD Writer (The HP8200 series), but when I use the two together, CDR-Win still tells me (in the device settings) that the writer does not read or record CD+G.

Has anyone any suggestions as to what I may e doing wrong? I know I can contact Goldenhawk, but they are in the states and I am in the UK so its not too convenient.

Any help gratefully received. Im not sure if I will receive replies automaitically so off list replies would be very helpful. For my part, I am about to try and subscribe to this list.

Thanks again,

Colin

Re: copying cd-g from karaoke to use for back up

Colin, First you want to use windows 98 or 95. Then, read the specs for the HP writer make sure it reads and writes CD+G. When you use goldenhawk
make sure your buffer (cache) is appropriate for your memory), Turn off all screensavers. Use CTRL/Alt/with Delete all together to close any programs running so that all that is left is SYS and Explorer. The burning process- the slower the burn- the better results. For example if you get failures at 6x, drop down to 4x. I hope this helps. RV

I need help copying CD+G's. I have a TDK 16/10/40 which states that it supports CD+G but the Nero software that came with it does not. Is there any software out there which will support my drive and CD+G

Full Parts

Please help me to find anywhere to have free download for music software which can play 1-4 parts as well as each part something like music time delux software because we don't have any facilities to purchase on line and mail services is a bit risky. I would like to use it for our church choir practice and this is something new to youth from our church.
God Bless you!

Thanks

How it is advertised and promoted

Where it is sold

Could you please send the information above to the following address:
