Can anyone tell if 128kbps mp3-s are good enough for a cd-track. If not, what is best?

In order to make a cd from downloaded Napster files, you first have to convert the mp3 files to wav files. You can use a program such as Winamp to do the conversion. Winamp will tell you how to convert. Once your files are converted to wavs, then the files can be burned to a cd which will play in a cd player.

I Am a Dj and I tend to backup the cds I buy as Mp3 for storage. when I need to re-write a cd I use Easy Cd creater Deluxe V4 as this will burn Mp3s to cd audio in one hit also nuro burning rom will do the same Job . there is no need to convert mp3s to wave .

I understand that u can do it i just don't know how, canu tell me the easiest way if i have Easy Cd creater Deluxe V4 also?

Download a free trial of Nero burning software. This will convert your mp3s to wave files on the fly. Also you can "normalize" the volumes so all tracks come out at the same volume. There are eq features and other plug ins as well.

Extracting parts from trio music

To record audio cassette for your web site you need to get Realproducer G2 installed. From there it's easy. Just run the programme, start the cassette and press record on your G2. 30 seconds takes up about 200 k as it is compressed to stream. There could be a better programme out there but I don't know it.

MY QUESTION IS THIS--ME AND A COUPLE OF FRIENDS ARE MAKING A CD. WE HAVE BEEN MAKING MUSIC USING A DRUM MACHINE, A KEYBOARD AND A 8-TRACK DIGTAL RECORDING STUDIO WITH A ZIP DISK DRIVE. IS THERE ANYWAY WE CAN TAKE THE MUSIC SAVED ON THE DISK DRIVE AND USE SOME COMPUTER SOFTWARE TO MIX OUR MUSIC TO MAKE IT HAVE BETTER SOUND. LIKE TAKE EACH SOUND MADE BY THE DRUM MACHINE AND EVEN MIX THAT BUT IF THAT CAN NOT BE DONE THAT'S OK WE JUST WANT GOOD MIXED MUSIC!! ANY IDEAS???

audio sequencer

more specifically you can transfere each of your 8 tracks individually to seperate tracks of an 'audio sequencer' and then apply effects to each track and mix the song again to a two track master. Many sequencers about - Cakewalk Pro Audio may be to your taste but try a few demos before you buy! In fact throw the 8-track away fellas - sequencers often have UNLIMITED track counts (in reality limited by CPU/RAM) and the flexibility of computer based recording will ASTOUND you!

To the drum question just EQing a drum track will define the bd from hh etc. You can always load the other tracks into a sequencer and redo the drums from the dmachine straight into the sequencer alongside everything else - u can even give the bd hh snr different tracks for variable effects processing!!! Syncing wont be a problem as u can drag the transfered files about and edit any gaps with 'Sampled' a freeware audio editor.

Just about all audio recording software will accept input from your Soundcard
Line-in, you would just have to select that as the source from where you
want to record (usually record to WAV format).

Recommended software;

If u want to download mp3s from the internet Bruce mate all u need is the Napster software - www.napster.com
It allows the download and has an mp3 player in the 'Library' section - easy!

hello... i am a musician who has some cd material i would like to be able to send to friends as i create it...i downloaded real jukebox, and recorded my cd track on it. then, i sent the file to my friend, but when it was downloaded, they were unable to play it back. it came up with a message that said it was unable to decode it. can anyone give me any help regarding this ? should i be using something other than real jukebox ? thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

when u save it make sure its not encoded this gives it a rms ending. you can alter the encoding in the options. trust me i spent 7 days recording cds to find out they were all encoded!!!! live and learn i suppose
