Re: How do I recording any audio output to a soundcard?

: Also posted as "Ultimate any to known format converter"

: I want to record a sound that a program plays. The program outputs data to the soundcard (or audio channel(s)). How can I catch the soundcard input and save it to wav (or something)?

Not that complicated...
I use an SB live platinum, which comes along with its own recorder application. In this app you can select from which output you record (Audio, MIDI, etc.), and then you can save it into WAV or whatever. I don't know what you use, but you might have a program like this too.

Another alternative, is to hook your audio output to your line in (you can also do it by passing it thru an amplifier/home stereo system) and then recording from line in.

I've been trying to do the same thing but I cant hear the cassette playing thru the system at all. It's plugged into the line in.

Re: How to convert .rmx to .wav or .mp3? I know how!!!

Go to WWW.search.com find and download the "GOLDWAVE" software, with this software you can record a new song at the same time as you play the song with the real player, you must have to set the record options in the goldwave as wave.

P.S. you must have to download all the extra hacks at the Goldwave page.

Re: How to convert .rmx to .wav or .mp3?

How do I convert RMX files to another file format, or copy them to a CD using RealJukebox?
This article applies to:
RMX files are secured music files. They cannot be converted to other formats, recorded onto a CD, or moved to a different hard drive. To record music files that can be recorded to a CD you will need to turn the security feature off and re-record the files using a different file format.

To turn the security feature off:

1. Start RealJukebox.
2. Click the Tools (or Options in RealJukebox 1.0) menu and choose Preferences.
3. Click the Audio Quality (or Encoding Options in RealJukebox 1.0) tab.
4. Click to clear the Secure My Music Files When Encoding check box.
5. Read and agree to the terms in the Confirm Security dialog box.
6. Click OK to close the Confirm Security dialog box.
7. Click OK to save your changes and close Preferences.
8. Re-record your music.

From Real's web site;

Why am I unable to play RMX files with RealJukebox 2.0 and earlier?
Files with the RMX extension have been recorded in RealJukebox 2.0
(and earlier) with security enabled. You can only play secure tracks on
the computer that recorded the track. If you try to play a secure
track not created by your computer, you will receive a "Data Type
Unrecognized" (or similarly worded) error message. If you want to share
files you record, you will have to record with the security turned off.

Note: Please consider copyright laws when using the unsecured
recording option.

1. Start RealJukebox.
2. Click the Tools (or Options in RealJukebox 1.0) menu and choose
Preferences.
3. Click the Audio Quality (or Encoding Options in RealJukebox 1.0)
tab.
4. Click to clear the "Secure My Music Files When Encoding" check
box.
5. Read and agree to the terms in the Confirm Security dialog box.
6. Click OK to close the Confirm Security dialog box.
7. Click OK to save your changes and close Preferences.

Any new files that you record will be in an unsecured format.

You can determine the security setting of a song by looking at the
three-letter DOS filename extension:

Security ON / RealAudio or MP3 format = .RMX (cannot be shared)
Security OFF / RealAudio format = .RMJ (can be shared)
Security OFF / MP3 format = .MP3 (can be shared)
Security OFF / WAV format = .WAV (can be shared)

For example:

Track01.RMX = Security ON / RealAudio or MP3 format
Track01.RMJ = Security OFF / RealAudio format
Track01.MP3 = Security OFF / MP3 format
Track01.WAV = Security OFF / WAV format

karaoke

I want to get some information about completely remove vocal part of music by computer can you help me?

Re: karaoke

Hi there,

It's pretty much impossible to remove just the vocals without affecting the rest of the file. It can be done where the vocals are panned center, however. It's just that many modern recordings don't mix the vocals this way.

Try:
AnalogX Vocal Remover (DirectX) v1.00 for Windows 95/98/NT

audio cassette to cd

Can someone please tell me how to transfer audio cassette to the hard drive so that I can burn it onto a cd.

Re: audio cassette to cd

: Can someone please tell me how to transfer audio cassette to the hard drive so that I can burn it onto a cd.

Re: audio cassette to cd

I have the same question, but I do know how to "record" a song from cassette to the harddrive, but there´s so much (background)noise....
did you know how to solve this
by the way, you showd connect the stereo phones output to the microphone-pc input, and then record a song onto your harddrive!

Re: audio cassette to cd

I am also seeking this information...were are the people that can explain how to get the analog cassette "in" signal converted to digital "out" to a cd writer?

Require help for wav converter for Winamp 1.81

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone is able to help me with this. I'm still a v1.81 WinAmp (yes, I know it's on the old side :) ) user & was wondering if there's a reliable (or as much as it could be!:) ) mp3 to wav converter I could get.

I understand the later versions of WinAmp have a built-in one but is there a plug-in I could get for my version?

Thank you for the help in advance. :)

Cheers. :)

is there a program...

that takes your mp3 then displays the music in tabliture form.(also if multiple guitars are playing)

Re: is there a program...

Generally, notation software that outputs tablature or sheet
music requires MIDI input. So no, I don't believe there is
a program that will do this for you. MP3 ->WAV ->MIDI ->Tablature
would be a very long, complex and ultimately messy method due
to the WAV to MIDI conversion.
