need an orchestra simulator prog - r ther any?

need an orchestra simulator program - does any thing
like this exist? specifically I'm trying to add an
orchestra of soft strings in the backround of one of
my tracks. i think i'm just going to have to make do
with a synth sound.

if anyone can help it would be much appreciated

VST Help.....

When recording audio on VST using my SB Live the first track (backing track) is OK but when I go to lay down the vocals as the secend audio track using a micraphone directly into the mic socket of the SB Livedrive I can hear the first audio track on the new track. I monitor the first track using headphones from the Livedrive but no matter how quiet I make it I can still here it on the new audio track.(I do have global disable activated in the audio setup)

Go to the sblive mixer (bottom right hand corner)

and in rec (left hand side) click on the icon at the top (mic, line, cd, etc) And select mic, make sure that WHAT U HERE is not selected as this records every thing that is playing at the time, E.G,
If you want to turn midi tracks into audio select WHAT U HERE in the sb live mixer, select an audio track and press record and this will record all midi tracks in audio

The effect your looking for is not a filter it is done using antares auto tune!!

Just put them in the microphone input on your sound card and record with wave editor like COOL EDIT or some other programm(windows sound recorder is on your hard disc allready but it's not good).
You shure have a walkman or discman with headphones... so try that.
I also have problems with recording but not that kind :)

music mixer/storage/sound card/software

I do have a lot of CDs. I do dj occasionally. I hate to carry all those CDs, mixer, CD/MD/Casette players, etc. with me. I also have a Sony laptop(650MHz, WindowsMe, 12GB, 128RAM. I got some software that only allows me to convert 20 songs to mp3 format. Someone told me that I need a "smart"(expensive) sound card.

I would like to be able to convert 200 hundred songs to mp3 format, store them somehow on my laptop and be able to mix them with some mixer software without moving all my equipment to the party location.

Is it possible or do I have to invent the thing myself?

cakewalk instrument definitions

I think I set cakewalk pro 8.0 for the definitions for the Korg N364 keyboard however the sounds all sound different than the originals made by the keyboard, how do I get the appropriate sounds in cakewalk so I can use the program? please email me and give me instructions on where or how to get the instrument definitions right. thanks jeff

I also am unable to create a sound file using the Yamaha panel voice sounds. I have Cakewalk 9
Midi in is connected to Yamaha out and Midi out is connected to Yamaha in. I have a soundblaster live card. Selected output port is "midi out", which becomes Yamaha 520 after I import my intstrument and assign it to port 1 in cakewalk track properties dialog box. After all this, all I get is the general midi sounds. If "local" is on I get a combination of grand piano plus whatever GM sound is connected to the patch number (I get GM 13, but the name will show harpsichord coupled, which is the 13th panel voice in Yamaha. HELP??!!

Be sure your not making the mistake I did when first getting into MIDI. This may sound strange but your midi cable lines say "in" & "out" I have found that the "in" goes to the out of the keyboard and "out" goes to the "in" of the keyboard. Also be sure that within Cakewalk that you have selected the proper midi input source and output source.

First, you need an audio input on your iMac. If you don't have one, then your stuck.

If you do, then take the output from you record deck and feed it into your amplifier. Then, connect the TAPE OUT of the amplifier to the audio in of your iMac. Then, record the LP as a WAV file.

I just tried to downl;oad songs to my D-Link DMP100 MP3
player using MusicMatch 6.1 Basic. It appears that it
does not support that player, but I am hoping if there
is a device plug-in that is supported by MusicMatch and

I have been trying for the last five days without success to transfer a play list on Music Match 8.0 to my Nike PSA 128 max mp3 player (17th player listed in the optional URL). I have slavishly followed all instructions on the Music Match installation disk and commands in the actual player to no avail. While I am able to install the relevant drivers from the Nike Phillips installation disc they seem not to be recognized by Music Match. On attempting to send a play list to my “portable device” I am redirected to a screen, which lists the plug-ins for a variety of players. When I right-click my player I am advised that download wasn’t possible because I don not have an update version. This I know to be untrue because I have purchased the players less than two months ago.

Desperately want to hear some music in the gym. Would you kindly lend some insight into how I can transfer my play list to MP3 player?
