SBLIVE and MAYA Together

HI at ALL !
Have someone try to use "SBLIVE" and "MAYA" sound
card together on the same machine ?
Can i do this ? If I can, is there a delay
when i use SBLIVE for Midi Only (SF2) and MAYA
for Audio Only (DXi) ?

Soundforge & VST - Opening Files in DIRECT EDIT mode

Please can anyone help!! (Because both Steinberg & Sonic Foundry tech support have been useless!!)

I am a fully registered user of SoundForge V5d & Cubase VST/32 V5.1 r4 and use them BOTH RUNNING SIMULTANEOUSLY on my PC.
Up untill the upgrade to V.5 on both Soundforge & VST, I was able to open a file on soundforge (in DIRECT EDIT mode - operating directly on the file) that VST was currently using and could happily edit that file in Soundforge. Then, without saving the file, I was able to jump over to VST (which would update the VST image) to audition the edit in the VST arrangement.
If I was happy, I could then jump back to soundforge and save happily save the file.
THIS WAS GREAT FOR AUDITIONING WITHOUT COMMITMENT!
However, this no longer seems to happen (seems to be as of V5 on both SF & VST) as when I now edit a file in Soundforge DIRECT MODE and then jump to VST to audition it, the file appears unaltered and no image is updated, thus I can't auditon the changes!
I'd REALLY appreciate ANY help anyone can give on this matter ASAP.

could someone here please tell me what to do here. I just bought a casio wk-1600 and a midi cable. Is this all i need to transfer things from wk-1600 to cakewalk proaudio 9? If not what else do I need? After all this how do I do all these things? Basically I need a complete walkthrough on all of these things.

My drive has first stoped playing games, and now music cannot be played.
Ive cleaned it with one of those disk cleaners and now the music only plays for 20 seconds then starts cracking and poping...I have no idea what to do next.
if theres any other secrets out there please share them and help me out...Thanks for your time.

What is the best software to create mixed CD's?

What are the good mixing programs. I would like to create CD's by being able to mix tracks together. I now use Multiquence/Goldwave to do this, but I need easier to use features. I would also like to get creative by adding sound effects to the tracks and other cool stuff. I make make CD's for myself from LP's, CD's, MP3's (converted to WAV), Realplayer files (converted to WAV) and I would like a wider selection of features now that I have had my hand at this. Thanks to all.

I have the instrument definition files that you need to import to use the WK1600 from cakewalk.

Digital to notation back to digital

I would like to take the files I record on my Yamaha Clavinova and put them into a notation software so I can delete or correct mistakes. Then I would like to record the corrected file to CD.

Since the Clavinova I have is a proprietary MIDI, I will probably have to go directly into the sound card. I'm more interested in any software that would allow me to edit the notation of the file and then record it back out.

Is this possible? Any suggestions on how to accomplish all this would be appreciated.

I suspect that most audio editors, like Peak (Mac) and SoundForge (Win..), can guess the tempo of a track. I find Peak does it quite well although the more beats (Drums, Bass) make it easier to find and therefore more accurate.

Could be some stand alone programs but I don't recall seeing any..

StreamBox Ripper converts ram audio to wave/MP3 but has gone underground now.
Try searching the Net & if you don't get it, i'm afraid you have to use a
recorder software (like the one carried by windows) to record (vs convert)
the audio realtime.

I don't know about the multiple soundcard thing but if your using Sonar there's a DXi called Live Synth Pro that lets you use soundfonts in Sonar without the SB card.

First thing is to find someone with a head demagnetizer. It wouldn't suprise me if that made some difference... You can buy them in a shape of a cassette and they are easy to use. It could easily not be the problem but it doesn't hurt to have one around.

What you need to do is 'Limit' the dynamic range with a 'Compressor/Limiter'. I would try and compress it first and if that fails, limit it. Either way, the dynamic range will change from the original which can be a bad thing. Compressor/Limiters are standard Fx in an Audio editor or Multitracker.
