Looking for battery powered speakers

I am looking for a way to connect a small speaker to the output (headset) device on my tv. Do you know where I can get such a battery powered speaker, or do you have any other ideas? Thanks.

Re: Looking for battery powered speakers

have a look at these, i designed and built them because i could not find a good quality portable audio system after years of testing 100's of 0.3-3.0W stereo sony/philips/etc that use cheap op-amps and terrible mylar midrange drivers.

XteX Amps:

Micro 386 - £29.99 - (0.3W 170Hz-17Khz) measures 100x6x25mm (!!) water clear blue power led, 3.5mm stereo minijack input, mini volume dial, mini power switch. X1 9V battery power.

Micro 820 - £49.99 - (1.5W 130Hz-22KHz) water clear blue power led, 3.5mm stereo minijack input for MD/MP3/Discman etc and 1/4" mono input for guitar/portable synthesizer etc (cannot be used simultaneously), volume/power switch/dial, 9V power supply input. X2 or X1 9V battery power.

TB/TR820 Pro - £119.99 - (1.5W 100Hz-22KHz) traslucent (see through) red and blue cases, internal on-PCB illumination, uses audio grade capacitors and precision resistors, available with a selection of lazer-cut speaker grilles (biohazard, radiation and whirlpool), red/blue hexagon head anodized aluminium case/speaker bolts, 5mm water clear red/blue power led in chrome bezel, bass reflect ports, knurled chrome pull-on push-off turn-volume switch/dial, X2 Chrome finish 1/4" mono inputs (the second input is for left/right hand easy access of controls and can also be used as a line out to other amps or mixing console etc), 9V power supply input, X6 AA battery power, supplied with 3.5mm to 1/4" jack lead for use with MD/MP3/Discman etc. all chrome hardware available in black and anodized bolts available in black or silver.

help me

I have Nokia 9210. I need to know how I send my mid or wav files to my communicator as a ringtone. And I need to know how to convert my wav or mid files to ringtone so I can send it to my own communicator. Thank you.

compose new music for your cellular telephone

Haytham,

http://cellphones.about.com/c/ht/02/05/How_Input_Ringtones_Cell1020958835.htm
provides some information on manual input.

Ringtone converter Internet Site
www.codingworkshop.com/ringtones/index.htm

I do not find your 9210 model listed for this software, however it might be worth sending e-mail. This has a editor, but the current comment appear to indicate conversion of WAV and MP3 files is not available, but midi files yes…
http://www.logomanager.co.uk/

There appears to be a missing product, a MP3 converter/installer for the cellular telephone ringtones. The software/hardware to hook it to your phone. Great software product in the price range of $20 - $30 with/without the USB cable.

Please let me know - if this helps

You need to read this

I am now formally changing my hitsquad name to
Macintorch. This was my old handle when I was back
in college hacking Vax machines. Don't ask me why I
had a Mac nickname since I was a Vax hacker.

Well, now that that's cleared up, follow my linx.

Re: You need to read this

You should probably get some of your rants about music software published on this site in places other than the discussion forum. You have a lot to offer. I read just about all your posts.

Recording Vinyl to Digital

I can't seem to get a good recording level? It's too low if I plug into the Line-In of my sound card and too high if I use the Mic jack. I'm using a line out jack from my stereo system. Any ideas please?

Vinyl to Digital - can't seem to get a good recording level

Graeme,

What software are you using to capture the LP recording? Normally there are volume controls with capture/recording software.

What operating system? MAC or win 98 - XP?

Brittany,

To provide you with more specific guidance, could you provide a little more information about your computer.

Inkbutterfly, gave you the answer with the information you supplied, but if you provide a bit more information then he or others can give you some specific direction.

1. First you need to capture music or acquire the information you want to record on a CD. If making your first CD suggest you put this information on your hard drive in a specific folder.
2. Decide what file format to record. (MP3 or Wav) Normally this decision depends on the music player you are going to play the CD with, or what you want burned on your CD.
3. If you have a CD R/W in your computer then normally, you have some pre-installed software that allows you to burn/Record a CD.

Brittany, please provide information so an experienced user can guide you along, we were all in your situation once upon a time.

soundcard for mac

Is the soundcard that comes with an iMacG4700 adequate for multitrack audio recording, or is the quality of the A/D converters too low for reasonable hi fidelity recording?

Re: soundcard for mac

Gutlo,

Since no one has responded here is my quick suggestion. I do not know either MAC or the software/hardware you are asking about but if you are in the states, use 10 10 220 and spend 99 cents and telephone a company in San Francisco that knows.

Description: Music store that specializes in MIDI and digital audio systems for home and professional use.

They have been in business, providing expert advice - sales in the area of music and computers since the Apple 11 and Commodore 64 computers used Dr. T software. They have been on the cutting edge of computer-based music and recording before the inception of MIDI in 1982

This is not an advertisement just the extent of my MAC knowledge, but where I would go to find the answers...

problems hearing midi files on using Netscape browser with Windo

I ahve a web site with 3 pages. I have had midi files on them for years. I got a new Dell computer with Windows XP and couldn't hear the midi files. Playing around, I tried the old Compaq and heard the midi files. Then I tried Internet Explorer and heard them on the new Dell. So I have come to the conclusion that there is some incompatability between the Windows XP operating system and Netscape. I have downloaded plugins from Netscape but they don't work. They don't show compatability with XP. Any ideas? Please...
