drum notation

What is a good program for drum notation and all around percussion writting

Re: drum notation

There are a few programs just for drummers.

<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/PercussionStudio/">Percussion Studio 2.04</a> is one. Have a look in <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/DRUMS_PERCUSSION/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/DRUMS_PERCUSSION/</a> and <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/NOTATION/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/NOTATION/</a>

repeating at the end of a track

I need some help. Whenever I copy a CD using Adaptic Easy Creator 4 and there are no pauses between tracks (such as with live recordings), the last second of each track repeats itself three or four times before the next track comes up. This is not noticable with CDs with pauses between tracks.

Anyone else have this problem?

Re: repeating at the end of a track

Although I can't provide an answer to your problem, you may have more success if you use the discussion boards at www.roxio.com

problem adaptec easy cd creayor 4

how do i reinstall easy cd creator 4

Re: problem adaptec easy cd creayor 4

It's difficult to answer your question, as it's a bit on the vague side.

What exactly is the problem?
Have you uninstalled EZCD4?
Are you getting any error messages?

You'll probably get more help if you head over to www.roxio.com and post your problem on the discussion boards there, since this isn't really a music related question.

converting realaudio files

Is there a program that will convert RealAudio
files to Wav files? I have a bunch of .ram files that
I want to burn to cd to listen to in the car. They are
all free files, so there are no copyright conflicts.
Please help, if you can

hi buddy !!

i am really impressed by the figures which have been revealed about Kazaa...more than 2 million downloads..Gosh Man!! its splendid!!

Re: hi buddy !!

Kazaa is a load of old bollocks. It installs what I prefer to call sneakware onto your system. Sneakware is software that is listed in the user agreement but buried in the document. Anyway, who the hell reads those agreements.

But doesn't these figures say something???

The figures do say something...

If you gave everyone a key to the local department store, the rise in stock movement would say something too.

If you blindly walk into using these programs then you will be a spied on subject... If you want to remain anonymous and keep your computer for your own use, then take Nigels advice..

Casio CTK-731 data backup to computer

How can I backup the entire data/memory/settings of my keyboard to a PC? Is there any software that I need to do this?

far better....

Hi folks, Technology wise I have found kazaa to be much ahead of it’s competitors. It has evolved much more than any other P2P software

compressor software

I came across an article for n track studio which comes with a compressor and a equalizer.I want to know if there is a stand alone software for a compressor and I also want to know if the stomp box virtual pedals come seperately as well

Thanks

People are coming back for their mails...

At last, it's working out as I had hoped. Well done Hitsquad.. ;-))))

Program for reducing sample and bit rates?

I'm looking for something that will reduce mostly bitrates to below 8-bit, and/or reduce sample rates to crazy low numbers... like 2, or so. ANy help would be much appreciated.

Re: Program for reducing sample and bit rates?

I'd assume an audio editor like Cool Edit 2000 or Sound Forge could do it.

Nope. None of the commercial software I've used will go that low.

mix and match to CDs

I am looking for a good software program to down load all my CDs to and Mix and match songs and burn them on CDs direcly from the program.

Re: mix and match to CDs

CDex will rip tracks from CDs onto hard disc. Easy CD Creator will then allow you to select which tracks you want and then burn them onto a CD. Whether you consider them 'good' is another matter....

mac or pc?

Q1: i currently own a p.c. and use cool edit for my home recording.
i want to upgrade and someone reocommended a mac being a much better
choice for recording, mixing, burning music etc.
what are your opinions.
Q2: i was also told that a good upgrade would be an
a/d converter. i assume that with my gadget labs wave,
i had one. duh? is this something else i need to invest in?

Music compression

Can anyone tell me the software or hardware I need to put 15 to 20 second music tracks onto a computer for putting on a website, these need to be of quite a high quality but hopefully not to large files, they would be taken of cds, dat or standard cassetes, or maybe mp3.

Amazon .com has music on their web pages so you can hear samlples of cds you are thinking of purchasing.

Re: Music compression

First, you'll definitely need to compress the music someway, as a 15 second CD-quality WAV file will take up over 2MB, which is no use on a website.

For CDs, any of the rippers will do the job (CDex is free). You'll then need an editor of some kind (e.g. Cool Edit) to cut out the part you need.

As for DAT/cassette, you'll need to connect the player to the LINE IN on your soundcard, then use a recorder program (e.g. Cool Edit) to record the sound.

As for which type of compression you use, it depends whether you want the music to play from the site or as a download. MP3 is probably the best for downloads.

Re: Music compression

I know you said cdex was best for converting wav to mpeg from cd but what do I use to convert a wav file from my hard drive ?(cdex wouldn't work)

Re: Enquiry

There are a number of programs that can do this. <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SibeliusNotationalProgram/">Sibelius</a> is probably the best. But you will find a few more programs at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/NOTATION/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/NOTATION/</a>

Errors vidfact2.exe

Hi,
we are having continuous problems with your program Videofactory 2.0c. as a standalone program under windows 2000; very frequently the program ends abnormally with the message "error in vidfact2.exe", even with simple actions like moving an event to another place.
New installation did not help, no other program is involved. System has Intel 3, 440 MHz,
124kB RAM, 2 x 60 GB, Soundblaster live!.
Thank you for quick reply.

midi problems with Soundblaster Audigy Platinum

Here's my setup: P4 1.7ghz computer, 512MB Ram, Windows 2000, Soundblaster Audigy Platinum, and I'm running Cubase VST.
My first problem has something to due with timing. When I run the metronome in Cubase, the click is erratic and not steady. This also happens in Finale and both for recording and playback. I am using Creative's ASIO driver in Cubase. The second problem is with the default synth for the Audidy(not synth A/B) and also with the VST instruments. When I play any of the VST instruments or the default soundblaster synth, I get an intermitten buzzing sound over the instrument. One other thing, which isn't a big deal unless it has anything to do with the other stuff, is that the windows' sounds(especially the startup) has gaps in them.

Re: midi problems with Soundblaster Audigy Platinum

Your computer should ROCK. I am interested in the problems you are having beause I was considering the same combination. Could you please page me on yahoo messenger..luc59..

Reason 2.0 burning problems

I downloaded the new reason program, when I went to burn the cue file in nero it seemed to burn, at least it said it was burning, I looked on the cd and it had shown it burned. When I went to my cdrom drive it shows that nothing is on the cd. Even though it did burn the file on to it. Can anyone tell me whats wrong? Or if i am doing it wrong.

Re: Reason 2.0 burning problems

Put the CD back into the CD-RW drive and see if the files are visible. If they are, then it looks as if you haven't closed the disc after you'd finished burning.

Let me know how you get on.

Andy

Re: Reason 2.0 burning problems

No, the files aren't visible, it just shows a blank disc ????

Re: Reason 2.0 burning problems

How old is your CD-RW? My old Yamaha CD-RW would do exactly the same - it would appear to burn stuff, but the disc appeared empty to Windows Explorer. Turned out that the write laser was on it's way out. Eventually replaced it with a new CD-RW.

Have you tried writing normal data files?

Re: Reason 2.0 burning problems

Is this a full version or just the demo?
