:I Have a HP pavilion and in the past have been able to download CD's now while trying to download pictures onto a disc for use in a DVD it won't let me. I have tried everything this was the last item to try I don't know much about computers and have no ideal what a butter underun is anyway. Please help and speak in an easy language for me to comprehand THANKS

There are many things you can do to prevent buffer underrun...

:IM USING HP SOFTWARE TO MAKE A MEMORY DISK OF PICTURES SOMETIME IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES I GET A MESSAGE STATING A BUFFER UNDERUN.AS SOON AS THE CDR BEGINS TO WRITE. IN FACT I RUINED A HUNDRED DISKS TRYING. .

I have a DVD/CDRW combo drive with a 8x CDr write speed with no buffer underun. I haven't coastered one yet.. I did replace a Yamaha CDRW that did nothing but burn coasters. Buffer Underun is very handy but not the be all and end all of burning CD's...

Okay, i'm not sure if that's the same thing as i want to say, but how can you saves music cd files onto your computer? thanx alot

how can u compress video?

A friend gave me an ordinary cd that had 2 full length movies and about 20 mp3s. How did the movies get onto the disk?(my friend has no idea).

Also when I try to play back the movies it only plays audio but no picture. It gives the message decompressor unavailable or something like that.

Do the films have extensions?

I would try all the available players and see what comes through. Quicktime, Windoz Media Player, Real Player etc...

.avi files wont burn

hi, i have an .avi file that has an association with the div3 codec. I have tried to burn this file to cd as a vcd and svcd but have been unsuccessfull. i use nero and have bought the required extras convert avi files via nero to no avail. i was wondering if there is a program that will be able to convert avi files of this format to the vcd or svcd format. thank you, if this is not the correct plave to post messages of this description, could u please point me to a correct forum.

you can burn this avi file with nero, just open the burning wizard, and click on "video cd" and then choose the avi file, it will take some time to nero to convert the file, but after it will it will burn the movie and you will b able to c the movie in an ordinary dvd player...

I downloaded TMPGEnc. and it works perfectly to convert the files to Mpeg.
Sorry I don't have the web address to download this but you will find it along with full instructions on the above site.

I've tried many times to burn avi files to a vcd but it just doesn't work. I was also woundering if there was a programem that would convert the file. I found that DAT files are able to burn to vcd and so are mpeg, once converted into a DAT file. there are mpeg to DAT converters on the internet. However DAT file quality is much poorer than avi, my best bet is to get a graphics card with tv-out and play the avi files direct onto your tv. :D ps avi files will burn as a data file using nero. This will not be able to play on a vcd player but will save space on your hard drive, and once you enter the cd into the pc, it plays like a regular dvd using windows media player (once you have divx codec installed)

I have found a way to burn avi files to VCD use
Roxio Video Pack 5, and use VCD not SVCD and place your file on the list and start recording. It will take many hours 6 at the most and the video will be converted than it will burn than you can watch them on DVD players that are built after 1995 or VCD Players

the computer has a 15-pin female connector (looks like ur parallel port-printer port) from the soundcard- this is where u shud connect ur cable and the ps2 connectors to ur keyboard, i guess

When i play the high E string on my guitar with some sort of distortion on the amp, the low E and A strings continue to vibrate and resonate after i have muted the high E string without touching them at all. It does it without distortion too and without an amp its just not audible... i bought new strings but that didnt do the trick. I need some advice i dont know how to fix it.
If you have any advice tell me.

That means your guitar is in tune. It's called harmonic resonance. If you don't want them to ring then palm mute them.
