tHE RESPONSE TO WHO EVER WROTE THIS IS FIRST YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT THE CD IN TO THE RADIO AND AND AFTER THAT YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE TAPE. AFTER THAT YOU HAVE TO PRESS RECORD OFF OF THE CD AND THEN START PLAYING THE CASSETTE WHILE THE CD IS RECORDING THE MUSIC. YOUR WELCOME!

MIDI OUT to PC?

I have Portman PC/S, Laptop, and keyboard with MIDI ports. I can play MIDI files from PC on keyboard using Simple freeware jukebox. How can I save the output from my keyboard on my PC in MIDI format? Is there a simple "RECORD MIDI" program that will save to my PC?

Hi I as well am looking for someone that maight us a whole bunch of pitch and tap master stuff made by TAP. I do not think I have the software you are looking for but will look tomorrow at school.

You may try wiztext.com. They had something posted on their Hardware and Software Documentation sight as being instrumental in Music Printer Plus. Original programmers were: Jack Jarret at jjarrett@berklee.edu and Gary Barber at gbarber@erols.com. These are old email addresses and may not work now.

The program was orphaned years ago. I worked with Jack Jarrett, who wrote the program, and had some dealings with Temporal Acuity.

I have a copy, which I could zip and email. I really don't think Jack would mind, since the program is no longer for sale.

I'll be glad to zip up something for whoever wants it.
I've been running MPP since 1991, but it stopped working on my Win98SE machine.
So I've bought another computer for DOS only to run my
MPP and am in the process of setting it up now. The only
problem I have is that MPP tells me "MIDI device not functional."
anyone know why?

:: I wrote the 4.1 version brochure and have been in touch with the ex-President of Temporal Acuity Products, sold to MusicWare and now out of business. I still use MPP4.1, and have started getting glitches in which it won't load on a Win 98 Machine, though it has always worked fine. I need a new copy of the mpp41.exe file in order to reinstall and not lose a ton of music files used in publishing.

I'm looking for Jack Jarrett, but he's no longer at Berklee, not have I been able to find Gary Barber, his partner on the last couple of versions.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm still using MPP41 in a DOS-box under Windows ME, still working fine, using the PCX-images in Word so being able to enlarge the prints to cover a whole sheet of paper.

Hello, I was doing some looking around on a website the other day about MPEG-1 format and I noticed that a small group from a video group in Ohio had a 25 MB sample video of a small musci video they did for their school. it was in MPEG-1 format but looked almost as good to be MPEG-2. I am wondering if there is a way I can get my videos to look like that. I have a Mini-DVC that i upload home video via an IEEE FireWire into Ulead VideoStudio v5.0 in High Quality AVI format. Can I convert that awesome quality video to MPEG-1 without losing the quality? If anyone has any ideas or solutions to my curiosity, please tell me. I will receive e-mail if any replies are made. virtual drum kits

for about 2 years now i use a really shitty computer and some cheap programms like hammerhead drum machine and magix audio studio for generating rather low-end drum&bass and downtempo sounds, thats because i never had the money for a better computer.
but now i get a 700 megaherz engine and i want to try some new drum machine. could anybody recomend me some programm downloadable from the internet? it should be flexible, work with wav. and work on windows.
i´m thankfull for any help

Cubase VST 5.0 on Win XP Help!!!

I've got Cubase VST 5.0r1, Win XP and SoundBlaster Live.
Cubase won't load it just says SMAPLS_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in dynamic link library Kernel32.dll.

I've tried reinstalling and i've tried deleting mros342.dll and then reinstalling but nothing works. i've been told that maybe downloading the update to 5.1r1 might do the trick but seeing whereas i don't have broadband is there another way? thanks

You do need to download the update to 5.1r1, but if you like 5.0 and don't want to actually upgrade to 5.1, you can fix the problem by doing the following:

1. Install the update, which contains a new version of MROS432.dll that solves the problem with XP.
2. Put a copy of the new MROS432.dll on your desktop, or somewhere where it won't be deleted by the uninstall program.
3. Uninstall Cubase 5.1r1 (this removes Cubase and all its files from your system)
4. Reinstall Cubase 5.0
5. Replace the old MROS432.dll with the new one you saved to your desktop.

Now you can continue to use Cubase 5.0 and you will no longer get the Kernel32.dll error.

music composition software for XP

I have been using a couple of music programs (PowerPro & Voyetra Orchestra) to compose music (mainly MIDI) using a Triton Studio Workstation but they are either really complicated or don't function well with XP.

Can anyone recommend an XP compatible software that is okay for a novice like myself. I would also like the ability to print notation.

Can´t find WF192 Yamaha Soundcard XG-soundbanks when using CUBA

When using Cubase VST I can´t find a full list of XG-sounds (from my Yamaha WF192 soundcard) to choose from. Only a very short list of XG-instruments is available in the "GM/XG... editor". How can I configure Cubase to "know" all the XG-soundbanks that come with the (old but nice) Waweforce 192D Soundcard? (When configuring the "ASIO Multimedia Setup that came with Cubase I only get "Custom" as a possible "Preset" (=Choice of soundcard???).
I have now tried to use the Yamaha-clone "XG-Editor"-programme toghether with the "MIDI_Yoke"-utility to use the full list of XG-sounds toghether wit Cubase. (Midi Keyboard -> XG-Editor -> Yoke -> Cubase). But I mess the MIDI-routing up, or maybe it´s simply not possible that way. My minimalistic "gear" is: a midi keyboard, a P3 PC, WF192D and Cubase VST. All help is MOST welcome!!!!

Pro Tools vs Samplitude

Put and ad in Loot and keep your eye on ebay for one. I'm sure you could order one through Korg somehow although I find it's harder and harder to actually talk to any of these massive music hardware companies these days.

I am in look out for a Tool that allows me to convert MIDI format to MA2 and MA2 to MIDI dynamically. I work on Multimedia Messaging. Inorder to support inter-operability between LG and Samsung Handsets this tool is required.

Any information of were I can license the tool is well come.

If no tool meeting this requirement is available I wold be happy if I can get MA2 Specifications.
