How to convert wma to mp3 audio for Macintosh

How do I convert a wma (windows media audio) music file into mp3? I have iMac OS 9.0.4

I don't know if that is possible unless Media Player has an export option.

If your really stuck, you could always record the audio output from the Mac itself and then import it back in as an audio file..

u could burn the wma to a cd then you could use realone or music match or something to record the song on your computer in mp3

I need to transfer a lot of Cubase MIDI Songs from a Mac LC-II to a CUbasis VST in a Win 98 PC. Is there some kind of file translator for this transfer?

what is cda? I copied a cd for a friend from my boght cds (comercials). when I look at the files thay all had *.cda on them but not so on comercial cd's. Why? Any idea?

I had to remove 50+ albums from Sonicstage as data as my hard drive had a virous. Now when I try to copy these tracks back onto SonicStage I'm toled there is no copyright info and will not load it as music. Can any one help as I am a DJ with limeted amount of computer knowlage. These albums where given to me by the producers of said music. I now have 50+ CD'S sitting on four CD's as Data and theres nothing I can do with it. HELP!!!

Removing music from track

We recorded a track and were initially quite happy with it.

However, we've subsequently come across some problems with the backing music.

The lead vocalist is no longer available which prohibits a rerecording.

I've seen and used software that allows you to rip out the vocal from a track leaving only the backing music.

Is there anyway to do the reverse? Remove or minimise the background music, allowing a rerecorded version to be mixed into the vocals.

I'm prepared to buy particular software.

Any help would be appreciated

Not that I'm aware of...
What elements of the original track do you need to fix?
eg is just guitar mistakes or ???

For example I recently had to fix a few guitar mistakes on a completed song
(Re-mixing was not an option)
I managed to do it within Cooledit and Cubase.
It very much depends on "What" needs to be fixed.

For a start download a Demo of CooleditPro or Soundforge.

Give us a bit more information and we may be able to advise you.

While optimally I would like to rerecord the backing music it sounds like it won't be possible.

The original song has some very heavy electronic beats in the background. In retrospect, they were a very bad idea. However, as I mentioned previously there isn't the possibility of rerecording.

Even finding someway to diminish the background music in comparison to the vocals would be great (or vice versa).

I would be interested in hearing how you fixed the mistakes ( I have cool edit pro at the moment.

Sorry Forgot to reply....

The guitar mistakes occurred in the song where there was no Vocals, so Luckily I was able to cut'n'paste the guitar part from another part of the song....
(guitar part occured frequently in the song)

I used Cooledit to Cut a good guitar section and saved it to an external WAV file. (eg fix001.wav)

Loaded the original song track1 of Cubase and dropped in the new wave file to track2.
Precisely aligned the new part with the original track.

If you set the Magnification as large as possible you can do this as much with your eyes as you can with your ears.

Bounced it all back down to one track and that was it...

When is a ''successful burn " a failure??

I did several so called burns on an Acoustica only to be greeted by silence when played on a boombox. I did some double checks and some disc of same company worked and others didn't, ruling out compatibility problem. I also did various speeds with a variety numer of tracks, without result. Any answers out there?

Try different disks (different colours as well. Gold works well for me). No joy, it's probably the lack of power in the boombox's CD player to reflect the light of a burnt CD...

May I suggest that you download Full Motion Video for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP. You can get it from this site. I'm thinking the movies you downloaded are divX format.
