RubberDuck H30 by D-Lusion

i still use this great old softsynth, it's skinable and there is supposed to be a way to design your own skins... but the makers are defunct and i'm trying to find out how i can make a new skin for it.

if anyone know how to put a new skin on RubberDuck, could they let me know please -

NigelXcanterburygreenman.fsnet.co.uk (- obviously remove the X and put in @ !)

Thankyou!

Re: RubberDuck H30 by D-Lusion

I remember this one I think !!!
was it a 303 type synth?

BTW, that was a smart way of leaving your email address
I never post my address for fear of spam

Re: RubberDuck H30 by D-Lusion

yes - a 16 step sequencer and 303.

works for me.

New FREE sample package(wavs)FX05(original effects)

Because a part of you don't use Reason prog. , here :

( point 28 )

you can download the samples package version of DoruMALAIA-FX05 (42,5 MB uncompressed). This package has archived like rar archive and have now only 21,3 mb size ! You need WinRAR program to decompress this package .( If you don't have WinRAR , here can download for free the last version :
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm )
DoruMALAIA-FX05 samples package contains 50 wav samples (a beutiful strange world for your soundtracks or songs !)!.Those samples can be used in any program which know wav format ! All of those samples were recorded in CoolEdit PRO 2.0 at 44100 hz/24 bit , processed and then dithered down to 16 bit ! All of those are original and produced by me !
Ofcourse , the refill version (for Reason prog) of this package remains available at the same location !
And samples package version and refill version are FREE ! Free to download , free to use (excepting sale actions or re-included on other public refills or samples packages). You can use those samples how you want in your compositions !

software 'Volume Leveler' made 75% of 17,00 files inaudible

Have a Dell 2.34 G processor,256 MB,Sound Blaster & 80 G Hard Drive. Using MMJB Plus feature,'Volume Leveler'to my 17,000 MP3Pro files reduced the sound level on all my files.MMJB suggested reinstall, and download of Sound Blaster Drive.I have done both.No changeWhat's worse is the fact that I disabled this feature and copied some commercial CDs to my HD;They recorded "softly' as well.Is there any way to reverse this 'leveler' ,or Jack up the sound.I spent 100s of hours putting hundreds of old vinyl LPs on my HD.Could hear them fine before the 'Volume Leveler".Thanks

Re: software 'Volume Leveler' made 75% of 17,00 files inaudible

Could hear them fine before the 'Volume Leveler".Thanks

Try MP3 Gain...

Have you checked all the volume settings. Sometimes several different volume controls will affect what you hear.

Drum Sounds & Samples

If you are searching for some new sounds and the prices of the big cats scare you, then you're just like me. I've been sampling and producing for about 14 years now and just recently, I bought a bunch of samples that made me realize just how much stuff I already had. I went through disks and disks of stuff that I sampled from vinyl, synth sounds, sampled live and so on. If you wanna check out some cheaper, but still bangin' drum sounds for the Akai MPC, or even in WAV or AIFF format contact me at homershines@yahoo.com

Hip-Hop Production

I would like to begin producing hip-hop music, and am prepared to begin buying equipment to do as much. However, I honestly don't know where to start. Does anyone have any good advice on where I should start? Essentially, I want to spend at most $500 on equipment that will allow me to sample and create drum beats (and other sounds if possible). Would it be better to purchase one piece, like a MPC2000, with all those components in one, or purchase a drum machine, sampler, and mixer each seperately? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. -Rod

Your goin about it the wrong way...........

Man, if ur just startin out and have no knowledge over the equipment ur trying to buy, it's not like u'll buy the piece, and all of a sudden a new Hip Hop pruducer has emerged. No. Alot of time ois gonna have to be put into ur manuals and on ur new creations, just to learn the basics. My thought is, if u have a computer, to ge Fruity Loops 4, Producers edition. In this program u can do anything u can on any piece of equipment and then some......well, and then a whole lot more. The beautiful thing about Fruity Loops is the fact that there is plugins. Which means there is an endless supply of FX's u can put onto ur sample. Everything is in WAV. form and easy to work with. All ur levels, limiting, compressing, reverb, stereo enhancing, and all kinds of s**t can be done through Fruity Loops<damn u would think i work for em or somethin!?> Infact, i am a Hip Hop producer of the highest intellect, and i wish to share the ease. Um, oh yeah, sampling, beat slicing, it's like 20 different synthesizers and shit..........i could go on for days, but if u have a chance, before buying a piece of equipment which will limit u to what that pice can do, i suggest u look into Fruityloops.com.

Thanx if u read this, even if it's for ur own benefit,

J.

Re: Hip-Hop Production

my goal in life is to be one of the top paying producers ever so can you possibly give me some info on how i can at least try and start. iight 1

Re: Hip-Hop Production

In my opinion, If you have a computer don't waste your money in
equipment. With your computer you can buy music programs from
anybody and can make beats with programs like Fruity Loops, Acid Pro etc.
and then you can do the mix with Cakewalk, SoundForge etc. and its like
having a full studio. Then later on when you get the hang of it and start
making money then invest it on other equipments.
Good Luck!

Re: Hip-Hop Production

oops! sorry bout that!
Hey! I had the same situation as you about twon weeks ago. I got myself a Boss SP-505 sampling groove workstation and a midi-man
oxygen 8 controller keyboard. I am using it with ejay studio software that I already had but im going to borrow my friends cubase and use it with it. This all means I can sample and create sampled tunes aswell as add my own bass or extra melody. including a smart media card the whole package (excluding software, but including wires) cost around £535. I also have a set of turntables included in my set up but u dont require them. Hope that helps!

Re: Hip-Hop Production

I have already begun producing hip hop beats. I have 2 turntables, mixer and a computer with a few programs. I am running out of samples and stuff. I have samples from turnables but I was thinking I needed to get some kind of keyboard or synthesis thing with sounds on it already. I just want to take my beats and production a step further. What do you recomend. Like what kind of keyboard or drum machine or whatever.

Re: Hip-Hop Production

Try using a program called Fruity Loops. Its great. I 'm using it myself & I'm telling ya, I've created some sick beats with it! Cehck out the website for more info on this programme www.fl-studio.com

Re: Hip-Hop Production

Rod;
If you plan to spend $500, you should be focusing on using your computer with softsynths and softsamplers. The MPC2000 is a monster machine. I have a MPC3000 and love it. They are both the complete deal, depending on which kind of music you wanna create. I think that you can't go wrong with that as your focus. But, you'll need to spend more money.

Email me to talk some more and for more info, as well as for a demo of my MPC drum sounds and samples.

Peace.

Creating non-downloadable music on the web

I need to ask your advice regarding music on the web.

What I wanna do is upload my choons to MY website but in a format that cannot be downloaded.
On mp3.com if you select to stream a song (by say, Travis, etc) it moves the song to a dummy temparory area and plays it from there (I believe).
I was originally under the impression that this was achieved with a .ra file or .m3u, but this is a text file that details the location of the .ram/.mp3 so therefore can be located and downloaded.
I had downloaded Helix from Real Media thinking that this would resolve this issue, but what it does is creates a listenable audio file (.rm) which is half the size of the mp3.

Do you know how to achieve what I'm after. Is there a piece of software to handle this??

Thanx a mill

Re: Creating non-downloadable music on the web

Macromedia Flash? Do the whole page in Flash-You could use the music file as a sound effect and it is buried within the .swf file which publishes to the web.

I am thinking about making a 'juke-box' webpage with rare Rolling Stones bootlegs so friends can hear them but not take them, using this method. But I probably wont do it because I don't know the legality.

Isolation of channels

A buddy of mine and I were talking this over: Is there any way to see the different layers of "post-production" tracks (i.e., tracks from cds/mp3s)? We came to the conclusion that since the tracks are alread "mixed," there's no way to split everything up. But we're only 99.9% sure. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks all...

Downloaaded Cool Edit

I have downloaded demo Cool Edit to try and make Audio Cd from my NWC files.
My computer will not open the Cool Edit demo - it says it is not a valid Win32 file,, Any suggestions?
Tony

Re: Downloaaded Cool Edit

Are you using Windows ME?
It has an annoying habit of doing this...
My only suggestion is trying to open the package with a compression tool....something like 'WinRAR'
I don't know what format they use....just a try :)

convert

hi,
how do you convert mini camcorder cassetess to DVD

Re: convert

: hi,
: how do you convert mini camcorder cassetess to DVD

To use your computer to do this you will need a Video
Capture card and a DVD Burner.

You plug the camcorder into your PC video capture card
then you simply play the video and record it on your PC .

Once it's on your PC you can do some editing if you like
and then burn it to your DVD.

You'll find video editing software on this site at
http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/VIDEO_MULTIMEDIA/

DDClip Free is great value for video and audio editing.

Recording Live

Okay, i don't know what I'm doing but here is what I need... Mac Compatible Software that records music live, has editing tools, and is user friendly. I have a iBook and need something to take on the road to record the shows. Everything off the board sounds terrible. Any help? Direction? Suggestions?
Thanks!
