Reason 2.0 install problem

I have XP on a PC system and when ever i try to install Reason 2.0 i get a 1309 error saying it cannot read the Cd, Although I know my Cd reader is fine, and the CD is not scratched. Can anyone help me?????

Do you have the service pack 1/updates intalled for winXP?
WinXP's CD-rom support was notoriously bad on its launch...go to microsofts website and download all the updates and it may solve your problem.

I have had mp3 gain for about a year and it has worked perfectly.. Recently i had high speed broadband internet installed and now my mp3 gain is extremely slow. What could the problem be?

S2000 won't talk to Win95

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can help me.

I've just bought an S2000 on eBay, and also a SCSI card.
My PC is an old P120 running Win95. I installed the Tekram DC315 SCSI card, and windows told me 'the device is working properly'.
I connected up the S2000, checking that it wasn't set to SCSI 7 (set to 6), and rebooted the PC with the S2000 already switched on, running OS version 2. The yellow exclamation mark appeared, with the message that 'the driver is missing' on my SCSI card. WTF? It was 'working properly' immediately before I rebooted. Have I missed something fundamental? Like an ASAPI download or something? I didn't think that I needed drivers for SCSI devices on the chain? I've tried rebooting with the S2000 set to each of the SCSI channels, no different. I've tried re-installing the drivers for the SCSI card whilst the S2000 is switched on, no difference.

Any help, please?

I am having the same problems, though I am running in XP. I have downloaded the new ASPI's from Adaptec...have checked for IRQ conflicts and moved the SCSI card to different PCI ports....and still no luck

I think its time to buy another SCSI card...

Problem buring to rw cds

I'm using windows xp and Nero burner program. I'm able to burn CD-R without any problems but now a CD-RW. My burner cancels/aborts once it detects that I am using a RW CD.

Any help would be appreciated.

erm...you are sure your CD-Writer supports rewritables of course.... :)

As I mentioned above their is a fix for CD-ReWriter problems on microsofts website. Win XP had BIG problems with CD-writers when first launched. I recommend installing the entire 'service pack 1' available on MS website as this fixes lots of bugs not just CD-writer problems. If you want to just download the CD-Writer fix start up 'windows update' and look for it in the list

problem recording vocals in cakewalk pro audio 9

can anyone help me please. ive imported a wav file which is my backinh track in track 1. in track 2 ive set up for vocal recording from a mixer and mic. when i play back the song the backing track seems to of doubled and drowns out my vocals. is there a way i can have my backing track in track 1 playing but not recording the backing track in track 2 only the vocals i want in track 2.

Change the recording source in your sound cards mixer to 'mic' you probably have it set to 'wave' or perhaps 'what you hear'

i have a friend who has a minidisc player where he can remix songs, adding for instance tupacs rap onto a dr. dre bassline, then have dre come back in and the regular song continues seamlessly, is there a way to achieve this with the computer?

There is a clever piece of software called 'traktor 2' you may like to checkout by 'Native Instruments'
Its quite expensive.
I don't know if there is a demo version that is really any much use.

I know a software called Live (by Ableton) but we can't open rex files with that one.

Does anyone know if the software for "Windows Media Encoder 7.1" compatible with Windows XP operating system?

JV1010 with ProTools LE
