hello, i am sudying contemporary music at uni and i am looking for examples of artists being ripped off by record companies and also artists who are doing well from record companies. i have to hand this in tomorrow so any help aould be greatly appreciated. thanks very much.

hi, i am a new music producer i baught logic 5.0 off of ebay second hand with no box or instructions (though it is original) i do not have the manual could anyone mail it to me? please.

I see no mention of Phantom power on the M-Audio website. You could buy an M-Audio Audiobuddy twin mic pre. They are pretty cheap and give you a couple of decent Phantom powered Mic pre's and are pretty reasonable at being a instrument (Guitar/Bass) DI as well...

CUBASE DELETES AUDIO

I've had cubasesl running on my mac for some time now, and have had no problems until just now. Everytime i record on an audio track, when i press stop or it stops itself after the second marker, the audio i have recorded automatically disappears. I definately records because the highlighted track turns red and you can see the audio coming through.Also i have looked in he audio pool and the track is there but i cant get it onto the main page. Can anyone help??

I have not been able to download any programs from shareware music machine. In each case, after hitting the location button, I get the error, "Couldn't connect to host." I have done this on two different days and times. What is wrong?

What programs did you try to download? Sometimes download links go dead without our knowledge, simply because we have so many links to keep up to date and authors don't always let us know about new versions or changes in file location. Let me know what programs you attempted to download and I'll look into it for you.

There are lots of sites all over the plavce that offer free samples. why don't you do a qwww.ixquick.com or google search for free audio samples? Also you wanna check out a few people who do sell sound, but for "cheap." This dude Egokilla -- www.beatsluts.com ---- offers like, 5 CDs of samples for $25 to $35. You can't beat that anywhere. That's a lifetime of sounds. Also, this cat at wdps_recordz@yahoo.com --- offers the entire Korg Triton's sounds on a cd for $25. ANd then there is --- www.beatsbymail.com--- It's just $1 a week for an email subscription to some phat sounds.

I feel ya when say that you can't afford it, but at these prices, you can't afford not to. I also have some sounds. email at homerhsines@yahoo.com if you wanna demo.

Using Akai sound library in Cubase SX

Hello everyone, I just got the hp 9500 cd-writer from my dad and we can not find the disk, I have searched the internet far and wide and am having major trouble trying to find a good site that carry's the driver for the burner. music system suggestions wanted

Hello!
There is so much stuff out there and so many ways to do this, I'd like an exert opinion on what you think I should do.

I once owned 4 radio stations and had a huge record collection - 10,000 records from the big band era to about 1985. In 1985 I cashed out of radio.

In 2000 I ripped 8000 songs to about 350 cd's in roughly alpha order by artist and sold the records to several collectors. I did not put the artist/title info on the cd's but have a binder with all that info.

I have since put the artist/title/tempo/genre/ - 16 total pieces of info on each song in a Microsoft Works database. I bought 3 Sony cd changers and in random play the music never sounded better.

Here is my question. What do I do next?

I have an old Packard Bell Legend 100 cd pentium computer that I'd like to spend $350 dollars on and get an 80 gig hard drive and improve the bios, add MusicMatch and have an mp3 "music machine" connected to my stereo....

or would you spend the $350 on some other "hardware" to play these songs?

Please advise on what you would do.
