Speaker Output to Sound card

I have about 300 vinyl records including 78's, 45's and 33 1/3's as well as about 200 audio cassettes that I need to record to a digital form. The input comes from a compact stereo which includes a turntable and dual cassette decks. Unfortunately, the only output sources are (RCA) speaker jacks and a headphone jack. What hardware is available to step down the output so that I can connect to my sound card?

Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.

what U need is a conversion jack from rca cables to mini jack or whatever your sound card takes on the mic or line in feed . and recording software like sound forge !! my fave!! good luck and keep an eye on those volume levels!!

downloading music

how do i burn an album file to cd (which has been copied as a complete cd) so that the cd recognises each song as a seperate number ie song 1,2,3 etc.

I have windows media player and just can't work it out! I assume that you should be able to 'tell' it to treat a break of say 3 seconds or more as a change in song - but how!!!!! Please help, it's driving me nuts!

I'd recommend you use an <a href="http://www.mp3machine.com/win/EDITORS/">MP3 editor</a> to split the tracks up (if you've ripped the album as an MP3).

There are nice machines. My friends has the D7. I suspect you will have to go to a Sony centre. They do love their proprietary connectors.. :o/

There was a song in it called "Bad Girl" and credics are to "Mind Lee" and writen by Bobby Caldwell.

I've been using this software for 2 years. All of a sudden, when I try to save my music, I lose the page after I have saved it and it goes into a horizontal mode so that the measures come horizontally, on after the other instead of the normal measures 1-4 on top of 5-8, on top of 9-12. How can I change that?

Need help w/midi interface

I've got a Roland E-35 with all of the midi cables (two cables, a small box and a printer port cable). I just got a new Dell 4600 desktop. Anyone know how I can interface the two? Is the synth too old to do this? Is there shareware available for midi software?
Basically, I want to make techno tracks and burn them to CD with my new CD burner.

It really depends what kind of studio you want to build. I'd go to <a href="http://www.musiciansbooks.com/">MusicsBooks</a> and take a look for a 'bible', so to speak.

To make a pretty good hit, you're going to need talent and a great song. The equipment comes second.

If you're going to use a computer buy a M-audio 24bit sound card and use logic recording program of course there are many M-audio cards it depends
how much you're willing to pay. But anyway you should also have a keyboard and sound files then you're ready to go. thats what im using right now .If you have any questions ask me.

Machine: HP Pavilion a210n, purchased just a few weeks ago.
OS: WinXP

Up until a few days go, I had no problem playing files on web pages...be they MP3s or videos or RealMedia or whatever. Just like you would expect, I click on the file, it downloads, windows launches the associated player, and it starts playing.

As of a few days ago...I don't know exactly when I noticed it was a problem... all that happens, except it doesn't start playing. The file downloads, the program launches - be it WinAmp or media player or MusicMatch - but nothing's loaded in it's playlist so it sits there idle. If it's a RealMedia file, I get a "RealOne Player could not locate the specified clip" after it downloads.

Thoughts? Places to turn? It's driving me batty as I listen to online music all the time. Thanks in advance, oh wise ones.

I was having the smae problem and didn't know where to turn. Here is what I did to fix the problem. I first went to internet options and deleted files from the temp directory. Then i went to move folder and moved it to the c:\windows\ folder. My thinking is that the file name might get too long for the programs after opening the many directories necessary before the move. Just a thought, but it worked for me.

Thanks Geoff, for your answer. I have read a lot about ACID but somebody also told me about a software Cubasic or cubasis. Don't even know the name properly. Could u pls answer which one to choose. I already have Fruity Loops but I don't want to make beats. I want to take beats from one song and paste it over the other. Something of that sort.
