on cubase sx i cant add a drum loop from outside and then adjust the BPM to right speed to my peice. could u give me the complete instructions how to successfully do this?

Sometimes you can purchase instrumental versions on CD, but this is more the rarity than the norm. Unless you're well connected, you are not going to have any luck hitting up a label or artist for an instrumental version.

My Band Keyboard player Want to buy a Keyboard which having a good "piano sound", or Digital piano with "song beat"( thats what he say..I'm a guitarist anyway..lol) on it. which around 500 - 1000 $.

Any help would be appreciated...

I would tell your pal to get a digial piano made by Kurzweil, they sound makes me moist. If he does'nt mind a few extra hundred atop his 1000 get a korg karma (synth)

There is a program called Audio Hijack which 'might' be Mac OSX only. It hijacks the computers sound output and records it to a file..

Ideally, you don't want to convert to an Mp3 if you are burning an audio CD. The reason for this is that an audio CD stores uncompressed audio, not compressed like Mp3. In order for your software to burn the CD from an Mp3, it has to uncompress it anyway so you will lose quality needlessly..

-------the problem is i dont have macintoch ,i have windows and this porgram is made for mac only .
do you have any other solutions ?

Cheapest way is to plug the DAT's analogue audio outputs into the iMac and use one of the free direct to disk recording packages in the file are on this site.

The best way is to buy an audio interface (USB or Firewire) that has an SP/DIF input and use the SP/DIF output on the DAT machine..

I cant find a way to make WMV1 into a AVI or MPEG

cubase SX song to wave?

You'll need to convert the MIDI to WAV. You can use <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Midi2Wav_Recorder/">this</a> or look <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/FORMAT_CONVERTERS/">here</a> for more information.

Then you can use a <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/CD_BURNERS/">CD burning</a> program to burn the WAV file to CD.

Does anyone know of any sequencing software that will make dots on a picture of a keyboard when the notes are played, like those cheap $150 keyboards.

Thanks Rimmer & jari for the info you sent. I tried MIDI-OX, the setup looked OK but although the files were sent from the synthesiser the data wasn't received by the program. Also tried Bomer's Send-SX. Same story. It looks like the programs are not recognising the data, although the correct port information was detected. Am I missing something?

It's been some time sinces I have done a Sysex dump. I can't remember the last time.

Are you sure that you have a decent midi connection to the computer? does it work in other applications??

Yep, all connections correct and active eg s'ware identified soundcard. The joystick is installed in that port. Does it need to be uninstalled, and then the sequencer installed?

Sonar/Reason problem

When I'm using Sonar and Reason together, and I have something set to loop, Sonar drops reason when the loop starts over. Sometimes it picks it up again on the next round, sometimes it doesn't. I can't figure it out. Any advice would be super appreciated.

I"m a total beginner at all this CD burning stuff, but would like to transfer my cassette tapes onto blank CD"s. Where do I begin? I have a nice Compaq hardrive and a Boom Box type tape player. If somone could just supply instructions that would be great, or direct me to a website that dicusses this, that's cool, too. Thanks!
